Cuttable Bar LCD Display Solution for Retail Shelf Edge Signage
Our shelf-edge bar LCD solution is purpose-built for retailers and shelf-system integrators who need a display that matches the shelf strip — not the other way around. Built on cuttable TFT panel technology, each panel can be precision-trimmed to the exact length and aspect ratio a shelf rail requires, then re-sealed and validated to commercial reliability standards before it ships. Backed by a documented cutting-and-sealing process, environmental test data, and a clear path from NRE sample to volume production, the solution is designed to answer the technical due-diligence questions engineers and procurement teams raise before they commit to a shelf-display rollout.

core pain point
Standard Panel Sizes Don't Match Shelf Rail Dimensions
Shelf-edge rails come in dozens of non-standard lengths and widths across different shelving brands and store formats. Off-the-shelf display panels force integrators to either redesign the shelf hardware around the screen or accept large unused bezel areas — neither of which fits a real retail rollout.
Cutting Introduces Unknown Reliability Risk
Cutting a TFT panel down to a custom size is not a simple mechanical trim — it raises real questions about whether the cut will intersect Gate/Source traces or the active TFT array, whether the exposed edge will leak liquid crystal or let in moisture, and whether the finished module can still pass standard environmental and drop testing.
Cost and Yield Uncertainty Blocks Procurement Sign-Off
Without visibility into NRE cost, sample lead time, and expected mass-production yield, engineering and procurement teams can't build a reliable BOM cost or a realistic project timeline — which stalls approval even when the display itself is a good technical fit.
Our technological advantages
We provide industry-leading display technology and customized solutions to meet the special requirements of this application scenario
Engineered Cutting Process With Circuit-Safe Design Review
We support both mechanical wheel-cutting and ultra-fast laser cutting, and select the method based on your target dimensions, tolerance requirements, and glass thickness. Before any cut is confirmed, our engineering team reviews the panel's Gate/Source trace layout and TFT array boundaries against your requested dimensions to confirm the cut line stays clear of active circuitry — we'll request the original panel drawing and your target size/tolerance up front so this check happens before tooling, not after.
Controlled Edge Finish and Micro-Crack Standards
Every cut edge is processed and inspected against defined flatness and micro-crack criteria before it moves to sealing, so edge quality is a checked step in the process rather than a visual judgment call at final inspection.
Secondary Sealing for Leak and Moisture Protection
Cut edges are re-sealed using UV dispensing (with alternative sealing methods available depending on panel structure and cut location) to close off the exposed liquid crystal layer and block moisture ingress — the same failure points a shelf display faces after months of dust, cleaning fluid, and humidity exposure on a retail floor.
Validated Against Environmental and Drop Test Benchmarks
Cut-and-sealed modules are tested against consumer- and industrial-grade benchmarks depending on the deployment environment, including 85°C/85%RH double-85 humidity testing, high-low temperature cycling, cold/hot thermal shock, and structural drop testing — with edge regions specifically checked for light leakage and Mura-type color shift after sealing, since these are the most common visual defects introduced by cutting.
Transparent NRE, Lead Time, Yield, and MOQ
We'll quote NRE for a new custom-cut project and typical turnaround for an initial sample batch (around 20 pcs) once we have your target dimensions and tolerance, along with the mass-production yield range and MOQ our engineering team expects for that cutting profile — so procurement has real numbers to plan a rollout budget and timeline against, not just a unit price.
