OEM/ODM Display Manufacturing: One Factory, Every Stage of Your Project

HITULCD | Est. 2014 | 38+ Export Markets | 120,000+ Units Annual Capacity

For engineers, procurement managers, and project leaders sourcing display hardware, the hardest part of an OEM/ODM program is rarely the spec sheet — it's finding a partner who can actually execute across the full chain: design, bonding, assembly, testing, and volume production, without handing pieces of the job off to three different subcontractors. That's the gap HITULCD is built to close.

Manufacturing Strength: Built In-House, Not Assembled from Vendors

Most of the risk in an OEM/ODM program comes from process handoffs — a module bonded at one facility, housed at another, tested at a third. Every handoff is a place where spec drift, delay, and accountability gaps creep in. HITULCD runs the entire process under one roof:

  • Core LCD module production — automated COG/FOG bonding lines (JYD-I900E full-automatic COG series, JYD-F900E/F900A atomization bonding system) with micron-level alignment control for custom module development.

  • Custom assembly & structural integration — automated cutting, gluing, and lamination lines (GH-1111 laser cutting, full-automatic laminating/gluing production) that take a project from backlight module to complete open-frame monitor without leaving the factory.

  • Reliability testing & QA — 2D measuring instruments, high/low temperature test chambers, and microscope-based visual inspection systems applied at every stage, not just at final QC.

The full production sequence — cell feeding, vacuum quenching, ACF attachment, IC alignment and bonding, FOG electrical test, FPC bonding, ITO encapsulation, high-temp adhesive/label attachment, and final visual inspection — runs as one continuous, visualized workflow. That means when something needs to change mid-project, it's a conversation with one engineering team, not a negotiation across three vendors.

Production is backed by ISO 14644-1 certified cleanrooms and 120,000+ units of annual capacity, giving us the headroom to support both small-batch prototyping and large-volume rollouts on the same line.

Integration Expertise Across Application Fields

A display is never really the end product — it's a component inside someone else's system. HITULCD's OEM/ODM work spans the application fields where that integration actually gets tested:

  • Transportation — compliance-ready transit displays, high-reliability fleet display solutions, and open-architecture Passenger Information System (PIS) integration, built for continuous duty cycles and vibration-heavy environments.

  • Smart Retail — shelf-edge and window displays engineered for storefront visibility and 24/7 uptime.

  • Medical Equipment — displays built to the tighter reliability and documentation expectations of medical-adjacent hardware.

  • Outdoor Advertising & Digital Signage — sunlight-readable, weatherproof modules rated for direct outdoor exposure.

  • Industrial Automation — HMI panels, embedded control displays, and automation terminals designed for factory-floor conditions.

  • Gas Station / Fuel Dispenser Terminals — ruggedized displays integrated into fuel dispenser systems, a segment with some of the strictest environmental and electrical requirements in retail hardware.

This isn't a factory that happens to also do custom work — application-specific integration is the core of what we do, which is why our mechanical and electrical engineers are the ones speaking directly with your team, not a sales layer relaying specs back and forth.

One Partner for the Full Solution

HITULCD supports both ends of the OEM/ODM spectrum:

  • Full-spec ODM development — starting from your functional requirements, we design the module, backlight, driver board, and housing from scratch.

  • OEM re-branding & modification — starting from an existing product, we adapt brightness, size, interface, housing, or firmware to your spec without a full redesign cycle.

Across both paths, customization isn't limited to one variable — brightness (350 to 3000+ nits), panel size (5.5" to 86"+), touch integration, backlight technology (edge-lit or direct-lit), input interfaces (HDMI/DP/VGA), and mechanical housing can all be adjusted within the same program. That flexibility is what lets a single factory relationship cover a multi-product rollout instead of splitting sourcing across several suppliers.

Every product is backed by CE, FCC, and RoHS certification as standard, with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, UL, REACH, and WEEE compliance available depending on your target market — reducing the compliance burden on your side when the product reaches Western regions.

Why Engineering and Procurement Teams Choose to Work with Us Directly

  • Single-factory accountability — design, bonding, assembly, and testing happen on one site, so there's one team responsible for the outcome, not three.

  • Direct engineer access — you're speaking with the people who design and test the panel, not a relayed message chain.

  • Proven scale — 120,000+ units annual capacity and 38+ export markets served since 2014.

  • Verifiable — full certification documentation and factory audit available on request, supporting your supplier due diligence process.

Next step: Whether you're starting from a blank spec or adapting an existing product, send us your functional requirements and target application. Our engineering team will confirm feasibility, recommended approach (ODM vs. OEM modification), and a realistic project timeline before you commit to anything.

Custom-Cut 32" Sunlight-Readable LCD Panels: What Engineers and Procurement Teams Need to Know

Reference product: HITULCD HT320FHD-D3000 | 32" | 3000nits Direct-Lit Backlight | 1920×1080

When a project calls for a non-standard display size — to fit an existing enclosure cutout, or to meet tight installation clearances — custom cutting an existing panel is often faster and more cost-effective than tooling a new mold from scratch. But for engineering teams and procurement managers, the real question is never just "can this be done" — it's "how do you guarantee it holds up." Below are the questions we get most often at the quotation stage, along with HITULCD's standard answers.

1. Process Feasibility & Cutting Method

Which cutting method do you recommend?Depending on your target dimensions and tolerance requirements, we'll recommend either mechanical wheel cutting or ultrafast laser cutting. Mechanical wheel cutting is lower cost and faster to turn around — a good fit for looser tolerances (around ±0.3mm). Ultrafast laser cutting produces a much smaller heat-affected zone and is better suited for projects that demand tighter edge precision and stricter microcrack control, such as industrial or automotive-grade applications. We'll confirm the recommended method once we've reviewed your target drawing — not something we ask you to guess at.

Will the cut interfere with the panel's circuitry? This is the single biggest risk factor in any custom-cut project. Whether the cut line intrudes into the original panel's Gate/Source traces or the active TFT array area determines whether the size is even feasible, and directly affects yield. To rule this out before quoting, we typically need: your target cut dimensions with reference datum points, the original panel model number (or cell layout drawing if available), and your minimum edge clearance requirement on the mounting side. Once we have these, our engineering team runs an internal trace-clearance simulation before confirming feasibility.

What's your edge quality standard after cutting?Cut edges are inspected under microscope against defined chip/crack size limits for edge flatness and microcrack control, to ensure residual stress doesn't propagate into cracks during later drop or vibration testing.

2. Reliability & Edge Sealing

How do you prevent liquid crystal leakage and moisture ingress after cutting? This is the step most easily overlooked in non-standard cutting projects — and the one most likely to cause field failures. Exposed edges after cutting go through a secondary sealing process, primarily UV dispensing, with an optional moisture-barrier coating depending on the product's end use. This addresses both liquid crystal leakage risk and long-term moisture ingress, both of which are critical to panel lifespan in outdoor or industrial environments.

Can the cut module pass standard reliability testing?Yes. Post-cutting, post-sealing modules are retested to consumer-grade or industrial-grade standards depending on project requirements. Environmental testing typically includes double-85 (85°C/85%RH) high-temp high-humidity testing, hot/cold thermal shock, and structural drop testing. If you need reference benchmark data from comparable prior cutting projects, we can share it under NDA so your team can pre-assess risk exposure before committing.

Does the cut edge cause light leakage or color shift (Mura)? The sealed edge region is where Mura defects — light leakage or color shift — are most likely to appear, and it's largely a function of sealant thickness uniformity and how precisely the backlight module mates with the cut edge. We run dedicated optical inspection on the edge region at the sampling stage, rather than waiting for it to surface in mass production.

3. Cost, Yield & Lead Time

What's the NRE cost and sample lead time?NRE cost for a custom cutting project depends mainly on the cutting method (laser vs. mechanical), the complexity of the trace-clearance evaluation, and whether a dedicated jig needs to be developed. We recommend getting a firm number after submitting your dimensional drawing — that's the only way the quote is accurate and won't shift later. First-article samples (around 20pcs) go into production scheduling once the drawing is confirmed; exact lead time is provided in writing once feasibility is signed off.

What yield and MOQ should we expect in mass production?Based on comparable cutting projects, mass-production yield varies with cutting tolerance and sealing complexity — we calibrate a realistic yield expectation using actual sample data rather than quoting a generic percentage upfront. MOQ for custom-cut/edge-design products also differs from standard catalog items, and we confirm this in writing at the quotation stage — never after a deposit has been made.

Why Work with HITULCD on Non-Standard Customization

  • In-house line, not subcontracted — cutting, sealing, and assembly all happen at our own factory, with no diluted accountability from layered outsourcing.

  • Direct engineer access — drawing-based projects like this go straight to the engineers who design the panel, cutting out the noise of relayed communication.

  • Verifiable — ISO9001, CE, RoHS, and FCC certified, with company registration and factory address publicly verifiable through Chinese government business registries, supporting your ESG due diligence.

  • Transparent commercial terms — MOQ, lead time, and payment terms are confirmed in writing on the quotation, not adjusted after order placement.

Next step: If you already have a target dimension or mounting drawing, send it to our engineering team for a free feasibility review. We'll tell you plainly whether the cut clears the trace area, which cutting method we'd recommend, and a rough range for sample lead time and NRE cost.
