What is a stretched bar display used for?

A stretched bar display is an LCD with an ultra-wide, narrow aspect ratio. It is used where a standard 16:9 screen will not fit: retail shelf edges, bus and train information strips, elevator and lobby advertising, vending machines, refrigerators and industrial equipment panels.

What sizes, resolutions and brightness levels are available?

The current catalog covers roughly 16 to 88 inch, with brightness from 300 to 3,000 nits. Common resolutions include 1920 × 360, 1920 × 540, 3840 × 720 and 3840 × 1080. Not every size is offered in every resolution, so use the size and resolution filters on this page to see the available combinations.

How do I choose the right brightness?

As general guidance, 300 to 500 nits suits indoor cabinets and shelves with controlled lighting, 700 to 1,000 nits suits bright retail areas, lobbies and transit interiors, and 1,500 nits or more suits semi-outdoor locations or direct sunlight. Ambient light and enclosure design both matter, so send us your installation conditions and we will recommend a model.

What is the difference between a native bar panel and a cuttable module?

A native bar panel is manufactured at the elongated size. A cuttable module starts from a standard-format panel assembly that is trimmed on one axis during OEM integration, which gives a precise fit for a custom enclosure without tooling a new glass size. The better choice depends on the size you need, your volume and your lead time.

Which interfaces do the bar displays use?

LVDS and eDP are common on our bar modules. The exact interface differs by model and is listed on each product page and datasheet. If your controller board needs a different interface, tell us and we will check what can be configured.
