Industry pain points and challenges
Understand the core issues in this application scenario and how we can provide solutions through advanced display technology
core pain point
Difficult Customization of Non-Standard Sizes, Long Lead Times & High Costs
Most LCD panel manufacturers in the market mainly focus on standard 16:9 aspect ratio product lines. Ultra-wide aspect ratios required for stretch bar displays, such as 32:9 and 16:3, belong to non-standard customized specifications. Buyers are often faced with a high minimum order quantity (MOQ) starting from several thousand units, long sampling cycles of 6–12 weeks, and new mold costs incurred by even slight size adjustments. For retail system integrators who need displays to match dedicated shelf dimensions exactly, this directly prolongs project implementation cycles and results in severely insufficient flexible response capability.
Difficulty in Balancing High Brightness and Long Service Life
Retail store environments feature complex lighting conditions, including overhead spotlights, natural daylight, and strong reflection from refrigerated cabinets. A brightness of over 700 nits is required to ensure clear screen visibility. However, high-brightness backlight modules suffer significant heat accumulation when operating continuously 16 to 24 hours per day, which slows down performance and reduces overall equipment MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures). Many suppliers even use consumer-grade panels to pretend to be industrial-grade products to meet budget requirements. After only six months to one year of operation, screen brightness drops by more than 30% with obvious color shift, damaging brand image and resulting in higher subsequent maintenance and replacement costs.
Fragmented Content Management and Hardware Compatibility
Chain retail clients normally need to uniformly schedule and manage content on thousands of displays across multiple stores and regions. Nevertheless, stretch bar displays from different manufacturers vary greatly in signal interfaces (HDMI/RS232/RJ45), built-in Android system versions, and resolution support. This leads to extremely high difficulty in CMS (Content Management System) integration. Operation and maintenance teams have to develop separate adaptation solutions for different batches of displays, creating a typical hardware fragmentation dilemma. Suppliers without unified SDK support and standardized centralized management capabilities are usually eliminated in the evaluation process for large enterprise projects.
Our technological advantages
We provide industry-leading display technology and customized solutions to meet the special requirements of this application scenario
Flexible Custom Size & Small-Batch Fast Delivery
HITULCD owns in-house panel cutting and module assembly production lines, supporting non-standard customization across full sizes from 7 inches to 58 inches. It covers mainstream stretched resolutions including 1920×360, 1920×540 and 3840×720, and can also develop exclusive tailor-made versions based on customers’ shelf drawings.
While the industry’s standard sample lead time generally ranges from 8 to 12 weeks, HITULCD shortens the first sample delivery to within 15 working days for standard customized projects. Small-batch trial production is available starting from 50 units, enabling system integrators to launch store pilot projects with minimal risk and smoothly scale up to mass production.
Commercial-Grade High-Brightness Modules with All-Weather Stable Performance
All HITULCD stretched displays adopt industrial wide-temperature LCD panels with an operating temperature range of -10°C to 60°C. The standard brightness is 700 nits, with optional upgraded versions of 1200 nits and 2500 nits, perfectly fitting full scenarios from indoor boutique stores to semi-outdoor window displays.
Each backlight module undergoes independent aging testing, delivering a system MTBF of over 50,000 hours and color drift controlled within ΔE < 2. This ensures consistent visual performance for chain store deployments across regions and fundamentally eliminates the common after-sales issue of screen yellowing after long-term operation.
Unified Firmware Platform for Seamless CMS Integration
HITULCD equips all product lines with a unified Android firmware framework, built with standardized SDK and open API interfaces, compatible with mainstream digital signage platforms such as Scala, Yodeck and NoviSign.
Regardless of the protocol adopted by customers’ existing CMS systems, the HITULCD technical team provides free integration documents and remote debugging support. For large chain retailers with self-developed platform demands, we also offer customized firmware development and branded system packaging, realizing full-lifecycle unified management from content scheduling to device monitoring.
Integrated Enclosure Design Compatible with Mainstream Shelf Structures
HITULCD features ultra-slim aluminum alloy enclosures with a minimum thickness of only 28mm. Standard mounting holes for shelf guide rails are reserved on the rear panel, supporting wall mounting, ceiling mounting and embedded installation.
For Gondola shelving widely used in chain supermarkets and pharmacies, we provide matching concealed wiring modules. Power and signal cables can be routed internally through shelf pillars with no exposed wires after installation, meeting strict aesthetic requirements for high-end retail environments.
Global Certifications for Quick Overseas Market Access
All HITULCD products are certified with mainstream international approvals including CE, FCC, RoHS and KC. Additional regional certifications such as UL and PSE can be applied upon market demands, with complete certification document packages provided for customers’ local market entry applications.
For OEM clients pursuing independent branding, HITULCD offers full white-label services. Product nameplates, packaging designs and user manuals can all be customized with the customer’s brand identity. This helps suppliers build brand recognition in the shortest time and gain a competitive edge in the global retail display market.
