OEM/ODM Manufacturing — Built for Custom Display Projects, at Any Scale
What overseas engineers, procurement managers, and project leads actually need to know before sourcing a custom display partner.
Most display suppliers can quote a spec sheet. Fewer can take a project from a rough mechanical drawing to a validated, mass-producible module — and hold that quality across a 50-unit pilot run and a 50,000-unit program. HITULCD has been doing exactly that since 2014, shipping to 38+ export markets with 120,000+ units of annual capacity. Below is what "custom" actually means when you work with us.
1. Two Paths to a Custom Display: ODM and OEM
We support both models, and we're upfront about which one fits your project:
Full-spec ODM development — you bring the application requirement (size, environment, mechanical envelope, interface), our engineering team designs the module from the ground up: panel selection, backlight and brightness tuning, bonding process, structural integration, and validation plan.
OEM re-branding & modification — you bring an existing product or reference design, we adapt, re-spec, or re-brand it to your requirement without a full redesign cycle, which shortens both cost and lead time.
Knowing which one your project actually needs — rather than defaulting every inquiry into a full custom build — is the first thing our engineering team sorts out at the quotation stage.
2. Manufacturing Depth: Not Just Assembly, the Whole Stack
Customization capability is only as real as the equipment behind it. Our production floor covers three layers, in-house:
Core LCD Module ProductionAutomated COG/FOG bonding lines (JYD-I900E full-automatic COG series, JYD-F900E/F900A atomization bonding system) with micron-level alignment control — this is what determines whether a custom module holds stable signal transmission over years of field use, not just on day one.
Custom Assembly & Structural IntegrationFrom backlight module to complete open-frame monitor, our cutting, gluing, and assembly lines are automated but reconfigurable — the GH-1111 laser cutting machine and full-automatic laminating/gluing line let us adjust to non-standard sizes and bezel designs without a slow, manual-heavy process that kills yield at volume.
Reliability Testing & Quality AssuranceEvery project — custom or standard — goes through dimensional inspection (2D measuring instruments), environmental simulation (high/low temperature test chambers), and visual/microscopic inspection before it's approved for mass production. This isn't a spot-check; it's built into the standard workflow.
The full production sequence, from raw cell to finished module: Cell Feeding → Vacuum Quenching → ACF Attachment → IC Alignment & Pre-Bonding → FOG Electrical Test → FPC Main Bonding → FPC Alignment & Pre-Bonding → IC Main Bonding → ITO Encapsulation → High-Temperature Adhesive & Label Attachment → Visual Inspection.
Eleven controlled steps, each with its own inspection gate — the kind of process visibility procurement teams ask for during supplier audits, available on request.
3. One Factory, a Genuinely Wide Product Range
A narrow product line means every custom request gets forced into a platform that wasn't built for it. Ours doesn't have to be:
| Category | Range |
|---|---|
| Industrial control displays | 5.5–27" |
| Edge-lit LED display kits | 32–55", 350–800 nits |
| Direct-lit LED display kits | 43–86", 1000–1500 nits |
| Ultra high-brightness kits | 32–86", 2000–3000 nits, sunlight-readable |
| Stretched bar displays | Ultra-wide format for shelving, transit, elevators |
| Open frame monitors | Embedded kiosk & control-system displays |
| Window / outdoor displays | Storefront and outdoor digital signage |
| OLED / e-paper / touch | Advanced panel technologies, integrated touch |
Because these all run through the same engineering and QC pipeline, a project that spans multiple display types — say, a kiosk with an embedded monitor plus a window-facing signage panel — doesn't mean coordinating two separate vendors.
4. Compliance That Travels With Your Product
Custom hardware still has to clear the same regulatory bar as off-the-shelf product in your target market. Every unit is backed by:
CE, FCC, RoHS, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, UL, REACH, WEEE — tested in our own certified labs rather than outsourced, so certification data is available alongside your production run, not requested after the fact.
5. Why This Matters for Your Project
Design flexibility without a design-from-scratch cost — OEM path available when a full ODM build isn't necessary.
Process transparency — an 11-step bonding and assembly sequence with inspection gates you can audit, not a black-box quote.
Scale without re-sourcing — 120,000+ units/year capacity means a validated pilot run can move to full production on the same line, with the same process, without re-qualifying a new supplier.
One vendor, multiple display categories — reduces the coordination overhead of multi-vendor sourcing for mixed-hardware projects.
Next step
Send us your target application, mechanical constraints, and volume expectations — our engineering team will confirm whether your project fits an OEM or full ODM path, and return a feasibility and capacity assessment.
Custom Panel Cutting Service — HT430FHD-800 (43" LCD Panel)
Engineering-grade answers for the questions our overseas partners ask most before committing to a custom-cut order.
Standard 43" panels don't always fit the mechanical envelope of a kiosk, embedded system, or retrofit chassis. HITULCD offers custom-size cutting on the HT430FHD-800 platform, backed by an in-house engineering review process rather than a generic "yes, we can cut it" quote. Below is what to expect at each stage.
1. Process Feasibility & Cutting Method
Cutting method selection. We evaluate two approaches per project — mechanical wheel scribing (fast, lower cost, better suited to straight-line cuts on non-critical edges) and ultra-fast laser cutting (tighter tolerance, cleaner edge, required when the cut line runs close to active circuitry or when chamfered/curved edges are needed). Which one we recommend depends on your target dimensions, tolerance class, and where the cut falls relative to the panel's internal layout — this is decided during feasibility review, not assumed upfront.
Circuit clearance check. Before any cutting plan is confirmed, our engineers map your requested dimensions against the original panel's Gate/Source driving lines and active TFT array boundary. A cut that intrudes on these regions risks dead pixel bands or driving failure, so this is the first thing we verify — not the last.
To run this check, please send us:
Target outline dimensions and cut-line position (marked drawing or DXF preferred)
Mounting/VESA or bezel constraints if the panel integrates into an existing housing
Any keep-out zones you already know about (connector location, FPC routing, sensor cutouts)
We'll return a feasibility report confirming whether the requested dimensions clear the array/driving area, and if not, the nearest viable cut line.
Edge finish.Post-cut edges are inspected for flatness and micro-crack presence under our internal QC standard before a panel proceeds to sealing. Specific tolerance figures (edge chip size, flatness deviation) are confirmed against your target spec at quotation — happy to share our standard acceptance criteria on request.
2. Reliability & Edge Sealing
Sealing process.Cut edges are re-sealed using UV-cure edge sealant applied by dispensing, closing the exposed glass edge against moisture ingress and LC leakage. This is a standard step in our post-cut process, not an optional add-on — every custom-cut panel goes through it before functional test.
Reliability validation.Cut panels can be qualified to either consumer-grade or industrial-grade test protocols depending on your end application — we'll confirm which applies during quotation. Typical reference tests include double 85 (85°C/85%RH) high-temp/high-humidity soak, thermal shock cycling, and structural drop test. We're glad to share benchmark data from comparable past cutting projects once we understand your target size and environment — reach out with your spec and we'll pull the relevant reference set.
Optical performance at the edge.A properly sealed and cut edge should show no visible light leakage or color shift (Mura) in the border region. This is checked as part of final optical inspection on every unit, and is one of the pass/fail criteria before a cut panel ships.
3. Cost, Yield & Lead Time
NRE and first sample run.Custom cutting projects carry an NRE (non-recurring engineering) fee that varies by target size, cut complexity, and whether laser or mechanical cutting is used — this is quoted per project rather than as a flat rate, since the feasibility review itself factors into it. A first sample batch (typically ~20 pcs) generally takes several weeks from confirmed drawing to delivery; exact timing depends on cut complexity and current production load, and is confirmed at quotation.
Mass production expectations.Yield on cut panels is inherently lower than standard uncut panels — it depends heavily on cut-line proximity to the active area and the tolerance class requested. We size expectations against your specific dimensions rather than quoting a generic percentage, since a conservative cut line and a tight one can have meaningfully different yield outcomes. MOQ for custom-cut panels is also confirmed at the quotation stage — it's set based on your final specification, not applied as a flat minimum across all custom sizes.
Next step
Send us your target dimensions (drawing or DXF), tolerance requirements, and end-application (indoor/outdoor, environmental exposure) — our engineering team will return a feasibility assessment and quotation covering cutting method, sealing spec, sample lead time, and MOQ specific to your project.
