  • Cutting method: Depending on panel structure and tolerance requirements, we select between mechanical wheel scribing and breaking, or ultra-fast laser cutting (picosecond/femtosecond class for tighter tolerance and reduced micro-crack risk). The method is recommended per project based on your target dimension and glass thickness.

  • Circuit clearance review: Before cutting, our engineering team maps the target cut line against the panel's Gate/Source trace routing and active TFT array to confirm no interference with driving circuitry. To run this check, we typically request the panel's mechanical drawing (or model number) and your target dimensions/tolerance so we can issue a feasibility confirmation before sampling.

  • Edge quality control: Post-cut edges are inspected for flatness and micro-crack presence under defined internal standards; edges are ground and polished as part of the standard cutting process.


Sealing & Reliability

Cutting a panel to a non-standard size raises a real question about moisture ingress and liquid crystal leakage at the new edge — this is addressed as a defined process step, not an afterthought:

  • Secondary sealing: Cut edges receive secondary sealant application (UV-cure dispensing) to restore edge-seal integrity and prevent liquid crystal leakage or moisture entry.

  • Reliability validation: Cut modules are put through standard reliability testing appropriate to the target application (consumer or industrial grade) — including high-temperature/high-humidity (85°C/85%RH) testing, thermal shock cycling, and structural drop testing.
