OEM/ODM Display Solutions — Custom Sizing & Device Integration
HITULCD (Shenzhen Hantu Jiashi Technology Co., Ltd.) | ISO9001 | CE / FCC / RoHS / REACH | 11+ Years in Operation
Not Just a Panel Supplier — Your Display Engineering Partner
Most display requests don't start with a standard size. They start with an enclosure, a bezel opening, a kiosk chassis, or a legacy device that needs a drop-in replacement. HITULCD's OEM/ODM program is built around that reality: we don't limit customers to a fixed catalog of sizes — we engineer the panel to fit your product, not the other way around.
This is for engineers, procurement managers, and project owners who need a display partner capable of custom dimensions, custom electronics, and full mechanical integration — not just a box-mover.
1. What We Customize
| Dimension | Range / Options |
|---|---|
| Panel size | 5.5" to 98", including non-standard stretched/bar formats from 18.5" to 55" |
| Aspect ratio & cutting | Standard 16:9/4:3 or custom cut ratios (e.g. 5.33:1 bar format) via mechanical wheel or ultra-fast laser cutting |
| Brightness | 350–3000 nits — indoor, semi-outdoor, and full sunlight-readable tiers |
| Interface | HDMI, VGA, LVDS, eDP, MIPI — matched to your existing controller or embedded board |
| Touch | Projected capacitive (incl. glove/wet-finger tuned), resistive, or no-touch |
| Optical bonding | Air-gap or full optical bonding for glare reduction and structural rigidity |
| Cover lens / surface | Matte or glossy, hardness coating (3H+), anti-glare, anti-fingerprint |
| Mechanical | Custom bezel, housing, mounting brackets, IP-rated sealing for outdoor/washdown environments |
| Branding | Logo printing, custom boot logo/splash screen, private-label packaging |
| Electronics | Custom AD/control boards supporting mixed signal input and automated dimming sensors |
If your requirement doesn't fit neatly into a standard spec sheet, that's the normal starting point for an OEM/ODM conversation with us — not a blocker.
2. Integration Into Your Equipment
We regularly engineer displays into third-party and OEM devices rather than supplying stand-alone monitors. Typical integration targets include:
Retail & Digital Signage — shelf-edge bar displays, window-facing signage, self-checkout screens
Transportation — bus/rail passenger information displays, in-vehicle HMI, fleet terminals with wide-temperature and vibration-rated builds
Industrial Automation — HMI panels, control cabinet displays, embedded machine interfaces
Medical Equipment — instrument-panel displays meeting reliability requirements for clinical environments
Gas Station / Fuel Terminals — outdoor sunlight-readable payment and price displays
Outdoor Advertising — weatherproof, high-brightness modules for 24/7 continuous operation
Kiosks & Self-Service Equipment — embedded open-frame displays sized to your enclosure cutout
Elevators, ATMs, Vending & Access Control — compact and stretched-format displays built to fit existing product housings
Our mechanical engineering team works from your enclosure drawing or an existing legacy display's cutout dimensions to confirm a fit before committing to tooling — this avoids the common OEM problem of a "close enough" panel that doesn't actually mount.
3. How an OEM/ODM Project Runs
Requirement intake — Send your target size, application environment, interface requirements, and (if available) mechanical drawing or an existing display sample/spec to replace.
DFM review — Our engineering team reviews for manufacturability: cut feasibility, active-area clearance, sealing method, and mechanical fit. We flag any constraints before quoting.
Quotation — NRE, sample lead time, and volume pricing are quoted against your confirmed drawing, not a generic size chart.
Sampling — First-article samples for validation, typically in 2–4 weeks depending on complexity.
Qualification — Reliability testing (thermal cycling, humidity/heat, drop test) tiered to industrial or consumer-grade requirements, plus optical inspection for Mura/light leakage where cutting or bonding is involved.
Production & Delivery — 12,000+ units/month capacity, supporting everything from small-batch OEM runs to volume programs, shipped EXW / FOB / CIF.
4. Why Overseas Engineering & Procurement Teams Work With Us
Direct factory access — you work with our engineering team directly, not a trading intermediary, so specification changes and DFM feedback don't pass through multiple hand-offs
Compliance-ready — CE, FCC, RoHS, ISO9001 as standard; UL, CCC, and EAC available on request to support your regional certification path
Documentation support — full technical documentation, signal timing docs, and drawings provided to support your own certification and integration work
Low MOQ for OEM programs — sample units available before committing to bulk, with MOQs as low as 1–20 units depending on the customization level
Warranty & lifecycle support — 12-month (standard) to 18-month (select product lines) hardware warranty, with engineering support for the life of the program
5. What to Send Us to Start
To get an accurate OEM/ODM quotation and feasibility review, please provide:
Target display size and, if replacing an existing unit, its model/spec or physical dimensions
Mechanical drawing (DXF/DWG) or photos of the enclosure cutout
Application environment (indoor/outdoor, temperature range, exposure to moisture/dust)
Required interface (HDMI/VGA/LVDS/eDP) and whether touch is needed
Target volume (sample quantity and annual forecast)
Our engineering team will respond with a feasibility assessment, recommended specification, and formal quotation.

28" Bar LCD Module — Custom Cutting & Integration Technical Brief
Model: P280IVN01.1 | Panel Type: a-Si TFT-LCD, 28.0" Cut Stretched Bar | Resolution: 1920×360 (5.33:1) | Brightness: 700 nitsManufacturer: HITULCD (Shenzhen Hantu Jiashi Technology Co., Ltd.) | Est. 2014 | ISO9001 / CE / FCC / RoHS / REACH
Why This Document
Overseas engineers and procurement managers evaluating a custom-cut bar/stretched LCD module usually need the same set of answers before they can approve a project internally: is the cut geometrically feasible, will it survive the field, and what will it cost and when will it arrive. This brief answers those questions directly, organized around the three stages of a typical technical evaluation.
1. Cutting Process & Feasibility Assessment
Cutting method selectionFor narrow-bezel and non-standard aspect-ratio bar displays like the P280IVN01.1, HITULCD selects the cutting method based on the required tolerance and panel construction:
| Method | Typical Tolerance | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Mechanical wheel scribe-and-break | ±0.3–0.5 mm | Straight-line cuts, larger lot sizes, lower cost |
| Ultra-fast (femtosecond/picosecond) laser cutting | ±0.05–0.1 mm | Tight tolerance, irregular profiles, edges close to active circuitry |
Our engineering team recommends the method after reviewing your target dimension, tolerance class, and cut-line location relative to the panel's active area — we do not default to one method for all requests.
Trace and active-area clearanceBefore confirming feasibility, we map the intended cut line against the panel's Gate/Source driver traces and TFT array boundary to confirm no interference with signal routing. This is standard practice for all stretched-bar customizations, not an extra step.
Drawings/data required from you for a feasibility check:
Target outline dimension (with tolerance class, e.g. ±0.3 mm or ±0.1 mm)
Mounting/cutout drawing (DXF or DWG preferred) showing the exact cut boundary relative to the panel's reference corner
Required active area (viewable image size) and its position within the cut boundary
Base panel size/model if you are cutting down an existing standard panel, or confirmation that a new base panel should be sourced
Edge finishing standardPost-cut edges are ground and polished to remove chipping and micro-cracks, then inspected under magnification against an internal edge-quality standard (no visible chip >0.1 mm, no crack propagation into the active area) before moving to sealing.
2. Reliability & Edge Sealing Assurance
Sealing processAfter cutting, the exposed glass edge is treated with a secondary edge-sealing process — typically UV-cure resin dispensing along the cut edge, with the dispensing path and cure profile adjusted per panel thickness — to restore moisture and liquid-crystal leakage protection at the new edge.
Reliability testingCut-and-sealed modules go through the same reliability program as our standard panels, scoped to industrial or consumer grade depending on your application:
Temperature/humidity: 85°C/85%RH endurance ("double 85") test
Thermal shock: high/low temperature cycling
Mechanical: structural drop test
Operating range for this model: -20°C to 60°C
We can share test summary data (pass/fail criteria and duration) from comparable stretched-bar cutting programs on request — please specify whether your application requires consumer-grade or industrial-grade qualification, since the test plan and acceptance criteria differ.
Optical performance at the cut edgeThe sealed edge zone is inspected for light leakage and color shift (Mura) under dark-room conditions. A well-controlled cut-and-seal process should show no visible Mura within the specified active area; any deviation is a rejection criterion at final QC, not something passed on to the customer.
3. Cost, Yield & Lead Time
NRE and samplingNon-recurring engineering costs for a custom cut project depend on tolerance class, cut geometry complexity, and whether new tooling/fixtures are required — this is quoted per drawing, not as a flat fee. As a general guide, first-article samples (typically 20 pcs) are available in 2–4 weeks from drawing confirmation; standard (non-cut) products ship in 2–3 weeks, custom projects in 4–6 weeks.
Volume expectations
MOQ: 1 unit for standard specifications; custom cutting, brightness, or bezel changes may adjust MOQ, confirmed at quotation
Production yield: varies with tolerance class and cut geometry — tighter tolerances and complex profiles run lower yield than simple straight-line cuts at standard tolerance. We provide a yield estimate as part of the formal quotation once your drawing and tolerance are confirmed
Capacity: 12,000+ units/month across our production line, supporting prototype, small-batch, and volume programs
Commercial terms
Incoterms: EXW / FOB / CIF
Payment: T/T (standard for bulk), L/C (large volume), PayPal (samples), O/A (long-term partners)
