OEM/ODM Display Solutions — Built Around Your Application, Not a Catalog

For Brand Owners, Equipment Manufacturers & System Integrators

Overview

Most display suppliers sell a fixed catalog and ask you to redesign your product around it. HITULCD works the other way: our engineering team starts from your equipment's mounting space, environment and use case, then configures the panel, backlight, touch, interface and mechanical assembly around it — as a private-label (OEM) or jointly-engineered (ODM) product.

This page maps the display requirements we see most often across the industries we serve, so your team can quickly identify which service model and customization path fits your project.

Application Market & Customer Needs Analysis

Smart Retail (Kiosks, Vending, Shelf-Edge, POS)

Typical customer: Retail hardware OEMs, vending machine manufacturers, POS integratorsCore requirement: Narrow or non-standard aspect-ratio displays that fit into existing kiosk chassis without a mechanical redesign; sunlight-readable brightness for storefront windows; long duty-cycle reliability (often 12–24 hrs/day).How we address it: Stretched bar and custom-cut panels to match your existing bezel opening; brightness tiers up to 3000 nits for window-facing installs; anti-glare / hard-coating surface treatment.

Transportation (Bus/Rail Passenger Information, In-Vehicle Displays)

Typical customer: Transit information system integrators, vehicle electronics manufacturersCore requirement: Wide-viewing-angle bar displays for overhead or door-side mounting; wide operating temperature range; vibration and shock tolerance; long-term supply stability for multi-year fleet programs. How we address it: -20°C ~ 70°C operating range as standard, reinforced mechanical mounting options, and OEM supply agreements structured for multi-year fleet rollouts rather than one-off orders.

Medical Equipment

Typical customer: Medical device OEMs integrating displays into diagnostic, monitoring or bedside equipmentCore requirement: Documented quality system, consistent optical performance across production lots, long product lifecycle support (medical device certifications often run 5+ years), and design stability — no unannounced panel substitutions. How we address it: ISO9001-certified production, defined change-control on panel sourcing, and reliability test data (thermal, humidity, drop) available for your regulatory documentation package.

Outdoor Advertising & Digital Signage

Typical customer: Digital signage integrators, outdoor media operatorsCore requirement: High brightness to overcome direct sunlight, sealed/weatherproof mechanical design, and non-standard sizes/ratios to fit architectural or advertising-frame constraints. How we address it: Direct-lit and edge-lit high-brightness backlighting (up to 3000 nits), wall-mounted and floor-to-ceiling structural options, and custom-cut glass for non-standard frame dimensions.

Industrial Automation & Control Panels

Typical customer: Machine builders, HMI/control panel manufacturersCore requirement: Displays that fit into an existing control-panel cutout (often legacy or non-standard sizes), resistance to vibration/dust/temperature swings, and multi-year design-life guarantees so the HMI doesn't need re-engineering mid-production-run.How we address it: Custom-cut and stretched-bar formats to match legacy panel cutouts exactly, open-frame monitor options for panel-mount integration, and long-term component-sourcing commitments for design stability.

Gas Station Terminals

Typical customer: Fuel dispenser and payment terminal manufacturersCore requirement: Outdoor-rated brightness, narrow-bezel or bar-format displays to fit dispenser housings, and certification support (CE/FCC/RoHS at minimum, often UL/CCC/EAC for target markets). How we address it: High-brightness modules, custom bar/stretched formats matched to dispenser housing openings, and certification documentation support for multi-region rollouts.

37.6" Bar LCD Module for Industrial Equipment — Custom Cut-to-Shape Display Solution

Model: RV376FBB-N00 | FOB Open-Cell | 700 Nits | 1920×540 (3.56:1) | ADS Technology

Overview

Built for engineers and integrators who need a display that fits equipment, not the other way around. This 37.6" stretched bar LCD is manufactured as an FOB Open-Cell panel (glass + COF IC, without backlight), giving OEMs and system integrators a native ultra-wide format engineered for embedded and industrial-equipment applications — kiosks, vending machines, control panels, elevator information bars, and other narrow-aperture mounting locations where a standard 16:9 panel simply won't fit.

If your project requires a non-standard aspect ratio derived from a standard TFT panel (i.e. a cut-down / re-shaped LCD), this page also answers the technical due-diligence questions our overseas engineering and procurement partners consistently raise before issuing a PO.

1. Cutting Process & Design Feasibility

For projects that require re-sizing a standard panel into a bar or custom-aspect format, our engineering team evaluates feasibility before any tooling is committed.

  • Cutting method selection. Depending on target dimensional tolerance, cut-line position relative to the active area, and order volume, our team recommends either mechanical wheel scribing (cost-efficient for larger tolerance, higher volume) or ultra-fast (cold) laser cutting (tighter tolerance, cleaner edge, lower micro-crack risk, preferred near the active display area). The recommendation is made per project after reviewing your target outline.

  • Trace and array clearance. Before cutting, we map the cut line against the panel's Gate/Source driving traces and the TFT array boundary to confirm the new outline will not intersect active circuitry. This is standard practice on every custom-cut request, not an optional add-on.

  • What we need from you at the feasibility stage: target outline dimensions and tolerance, mounting/bezel drawing (DXF/PDF), desired active area or minimum visible image size, and interface requirements. With these, our engineering team can confirm feasibility and return a technical response, typically within a few working days.

  • Edge quality. Cut edges are inspected against defined flatness and micro-crack limits before proceeding to sealing; edges outside spec are rejected at this stage, before any sealing or backlight assembly work begins.

2. Reliability & Edge Sealing

Cutting a panel opens a raw glass edge — the sealing process is what determines whether the module survives in the field.

  • Sealing process. Cut edges go through a secondary sealing step (UV-cure dispensing along the cut edge, with process parameters adjusted to panel thickness and cut geometry) to protect against liquid crystal leakage and moisture ingress at the exposed edge.

  • Reliability testing. Cut-and-sealed modules can be qualified against standard consumer-grade or industrial-grade reliability protocols depending on the target application — including high-temperature/high-humidity (double-85) testing, thermal shock cycling, and structural drop testing. Test plans and acceptance criteria are confirmed with you at project kickoff and can reference prior cutting-project benchmark data on request.

  • Optical performance at the cut edge. A properly executed cut-and-seal process is engineered to avoid light leakage and color-shift (Mura) artifacts at the sealed edge. This is verified visually and, where required, with instrumented luminance/chromaticity checks before the module is approved for shipment.
