Overview
The DV430FBM-N20 is HITULCD's 43″ cut-type stretched bar LCD platform (3840×720, 700 nits). It is offered as a standard catalog part for fast sampling, and as a base platform for OEM/ODM customization when your enclosure, brightness, interface or mechanical requirements fall outside standard spec. Most custom bar-display programs are cut-panel projects — meaning the customization isn't just a spec change on a datasheet, it's a physical modification to a source TFT panel. That's the core of our OEM/ODM capability, and it's where we spend most of our engineering effort.

Engineering Process — From Drawing to Volume
01 — Requirement & Drawing ReviewSend us your target cut dimension, mounting drawing (DXF/DWG or PDF), interface requirement and target volume. Our engineering team checks feasibility against the source panel's Gate/Source circuit layout and active array boundary before quoting — this prevents committing to a cut that would clip active circuitry.
02 — DFM Feasibility Report & QuotationWe return a feasibility report specifying the recommended cutting method (mechanical wheel or laser, depending on tolerance and proximity to active area), safe keep-out margins, and a quotation covering NRE, unit cost at target volume, and lead time.
03 — First Sample BuildTypical first-sample batch is 20 pcs, delivered 2–4 weeks after drawing sign-off. Samples go through our standard optical inspection (edge light leakage, Mura, color shift) before shipment for your evaluation.
04 — Reliability ValidationOn confirmation, samples are put through the test tier appropriate to your application — consumer or industrial grade — including high-temp/high-humidity ("double 85"), thermal shock/cold-hot cycling, and mechanical drop/vibration testing. Test reports are shared with you for design sign-off.
05 — Process Qualification & RampOnce the cut geometry and seal process are qualified, we lock the process parameters (cutting jig, edge-seal dispensing path, cure profile) for repeatable production. Mass-production yield for validated geometries typically stabilizes in the 90%+ range.
06 — Volume ProductionProduction capacity: 12,000+ units/month. Standard lead time 2–3 weeks; custom/cut programs 4–6 weeks at steady-state. Full OEM/ODM support including private labeling, custom packaging, and repeat production scheduling.
Why Cut-Panel Customization Needs a Dedicated Process
A stretched bar display isn't manufactured from scratch at non-standard sizes — it's precision-cut from a standard TFT panel and re-sealed. This means two things matter more than on a standard product:
Feasibility must be checked before quoting — the cut line must clear the Gate/Source driver circuitry and active array, or the panel won't function correctly. We do this check as part of DFM, not after sampling.
Sealing quality determines reliability — the cut edge is resealed with UV-cure edge dispensing to restore the moisture/LC-leakage barrier. This process is qualified per panel thickness and cut geometry, and validated through the same environmental testing as our standard products.
This is why our OEM/ODM quotations always include a feasibility report and, where relevant, reference data from comparable cut-bar programs — so you're evaluating engineering evidence, not just a datasheet.

Engineering FAQ — What Buyers Ask Before Placing an Order
1. Cutting Process & Design Feasibility
Which cutting method do you use — mechanical wheel scribing or laser cutting?We select the cutting method based on the target dimension, panel generation, and tolerance requirement. Fine-pitch or tight-tolerance cuts near active circuitry are handled with ultra-fast laser cutting to minimize micro-crack propagation; standard bar dimensions with more forgiving tolerances can use mechanical wheel scoring for faster turnaround and lower cost. We confirm the recommended method during DFM review, not before.
Will the cut line interfere with the Gate/Source traces or TFT array?Every custom cut goes through a keep-out zone check against the source panel's Gate driver IC placement, Source PCB routing and active array boundary before we quote. To run this check we need: (1) your target cut dimension and aspect ratio, (2) preferred mounting orientation, and (3) any bezel/mechanical drawing (DXF/DWG or PDF) showing the enclosure cutout. We'll return a feasibility report noting the minimum safe margin from the active area.
What's your edge flatness and micro-crack control standard?Post-cut edges are inspected under magnification against an internal AQL for chip size, edge flatness and crack propagation length. Panels outside spec are rejected before sealing — we don't rely on sealing to mask a bad cut.
2. Reliability & Edge Sealing
How do you seal the cut edge against moisture and liquid crystal leakage?Cut edges receive a secondary sealing process — UV-cure edge dispensing along the exposed glass boundary — to restore the moisture/liquid barrier that the original panel's frame seal provided. Dispensing path and cure parameters are set per panel thickness and cut geometry.
Can the cut module still pass standard reliability testing?Yes — cut-and-sealed modules go through the same test battery as standard panels (tier selectable: consumer or industrial grade, confirmed at quotation): high-temp/high-humidity (60°C/90%RH type "double 85"), thermal shock/cold-hot cycling, and mechanical drop/vibration per the target application profile. We can share environmental and drop-test summary data from comparable cut-bar programs on request — ask your sales contact for the relevant test report.
Does the sealed edge cause light leakage or Mura/color shift at the border?This is the main visual risk in any cut-panel project. We control it through backlight light-guide trimming and edge-seal dispensing width calibrated to the cut margin; final units are 100% optically inspected for edge light leakage and color shift under darkroom conditions before shipment.

What's the NRE and first-sample lead time for a custom cut project?NRE covers cutting fixture/jig setup, edge-seal process qualification and optical inspection setup. First sample batch (typically 20 pcs) is generally available within 2–4 weeks of drawing confirmation — final quote and timeline depend on cut complexity and whether laser or mechanical cutting is used.
What yield should we expect at volume, and what's the MOQ?Mass-production yield for validated cut geometries typically stabilizes in the 90%+ range after process qualification; tighter tolerances or cuts closer to the active array reduce this. Standard-spec MOQ starts at 1 unit for sampling; custom brightness, cutting or bezel changes may raise MOQ, confirmed at quotation.
