HITULCD OEM/ODM Display Manufacturing

Target Customer & Market Demand Analysis, and Service Offering for Global Partners

Manufacturer: Shenzhen Hantu Jiashi Technology Co., Ltd. (HITULCD) | Est. 2014 | ISO9001, CE, FCC, RoHS, REACH, WEEE

1. Purpose of This Document

This document is prepared for international OEM/ODM partners — brand owners, system integrators, and engineering teams — evaluating HITULCD as a display manufacturing partner. It sets out who we are built to serve, why the demand exists, and how our OEM/ODM program is structured to meet it.

2. Target Customer Analysis

HITULCD's OEM/ODM program is built around four recurring buyer profiles seen in inbound inquiries from Europe and North America:

Customer TypeTypical NeedWhat They Value Most
Brand-owner OEMs (digital signage, kiosk, POS hardware brands)Private-label panels/modules under their own brand, consistent quality across repeat ordersLogo branding, private packaging, consistent lead times, long-term part-number continuity
System integrators / project engineering firms (transit, retail, industrial automation)Non-standard sizes, brightness, or interfaces to fit an existing enclosure or system designDFM review, signal/interface compatibility (HDMI/LVDS/eDP/V-by-One), fast technical documentation turnaround
Panel-PC and embedded hardware manufacturersLCD bonding, touch integration, housing assembly as a sub-assembly for their own end productMechanical integration support, optical bonding quality, ability to work at the PCB/driver-board level
Distributors / regional resellersReliable, certified stock-and-custom hybrid supply they can quote confidently to their own customersCertification readiness (CE/FCC/RoHS), transparent MOQ, sample availability, verifiable factory credentials

Common thread across all four: these buyers are not shopping for a catalog SKU — they are evaluating whether a factory can be trusted to solve a specification gap (a size, brightness, interface, or durability requirement standard consumer panels don't meet) and repeat that solution reliably at volume.

3. Market Demand Analysis

3.1 Why buyers are looking outside standard catalog panels

  • Non-standard form factors are growing. Ultra-wide bar displays (18.5"–55"+, up to 32:1), stretched/cut panels, and window-facing formats are increasingly specified for transit signage, retail shelf-edge, and elevator/architectural integration — applications standard 16:9 consumer panels cannot serve.

  • Sunlight readability and 24/7 duty cycles are now baseline requirements, not premium options, for outdoor kiosks, EV charging stations, and transit displays. Buyers are actively moving away from suppliers who only offer indoor-grade brightness (250–350 nits).

  • Supply chain resilience is a stated concern. Western integrators increasingly want a manufacturing partner who can be verified against public business registries and who provides direct engineering access — reducing reliance on trading-company intermediaries with limited technical accountability.

  • Compliance-readiness shortens time-to-market. CE/FCC/RoHS-ready components reduce the certification burden on the buyer's own finished product, which is a recurring decision factor for EU and US-bound programs.

3.2 Where the demand concentrates

  • Transportation: bus/rail passenger information systems, platform displays — driven by public transit digitization programs across Europe and North America.

  • Retail & smart retail: shelf-edge bar displays, digital window signage, convenience-store displays — driven by retrofit programs replacing static signage.

  • Industrial automation & HMI: embedded panels for control systems and terminals — driven by equipment manufacturers standardizing on wide-temperature, long-lifecycle displays.

  • Outdoor advertising & EV infrastructure: high-brightness (1000–3000 nits) outdoor digital signage — driven by expanding EV charging network buildouts and DOOH advertising infrastructure.

3.3 What this means for supplier selection

Buyers in this market are optimizing for engineering responsiveness and documentation speed as much as unit price — a DFM review turnaround measured in days, not weeks, and signal timing documentation available on request, are recurring decision factors cited directly by integrators.

46.6" Bar LCD Module for Passenger Information Systems

Model: PR466KT01-1 | Ultra-Wide Stretched Bar Display | 3840×120 (≈32:1)

Manufacturer: Shenzhen Hantu Jiashi Technology Co., Ltd. (HITULCD)Established: 2014 (11+ years in operation) | Certifications: ISO9001, CE, FCC, RoHS, REACH, WEEE

1. Product Overview

The PR466KT01-1 is a 46.6-inch ultra-long stretched bar TFT-LCD module purpose-built for passenger information displays (PIS) — bus/rail destination signs, overhead announcement bars, platform information strips, and other narrow-format transit signage. Unlike a standard panel cut down after the fact, this is offered as an FOB open-cell native long-format panel, giving integrators a display designed from the array level for the 32:1 aspect ratio rather than a secondary-processed short panel.

Note for engineering review: This is a bare open-cell panel (glass + COF), not a finished module. Backlight assembly, driver board, and mechanical housing are configured to your project during the customization stage — see Section 4.

2. Why This Format for Transit PIS Projects

  • True long-aspect array design — avoids the optical and structural compromises of aftermarket-cut short panels in the destination-sign / overhead-bar form factor.

  • Wide viewing angle (89° all directions) for readability from platform or aisle sightlines.

  • 700-nit brightness with 3000:1 contrast — legible under vehicle interior lighting and near-window ambient light.

  • Industrial temperature range (0–50°C operating) suited to transit-cabin thermal cycling.

  • Direct factory engineering access — specification, cutting, and backlight requirements are reviewed with our technical team rather than through a trading intermediary.

3. Technical Process & Feasibility (for Engineering Review)

For buyers evaluating a custom-cut or custom-length bar panel derived from a standard-size mother glass (a common path for non-standard PIS bar sizes), our engineering team works through the following review points before quotation:

3.1 Cutting Process

  • Two cutting methods are available depending on tolerance and glass thickness: mechanical wheel scribing (lower cost, larger MOQ-friendly, tolerance typically ±0.3mm) and ultra-fast laser cutting (tighter tolerance, cleaner edge, preferred for thin substrates or tight display-area constraints).

  • Method selection depends on final panel thickness, required tolerance, and target display-area boundary — this is confirmed during design review, not assumed upfront.

3.2 Circuit & Array Clearance

  • Every custom cut is checked against the source panel's Gate/Source trace layout and active TFT array boundary before a cutting line is approved, to confirm the new outline does not intersect active circuitry.

  • To run this feasibility check, our team typically requests: (1) target outline dimensions and tolerance, (2) preferred active area / display area, (3) mounting or bezel constraints, and (4) the source panel model if a specific mother panel is being evaluated. Draft drawings (DWG/DXF) speed up this step.

3.3 Edge Quality

  • Post-cut edges are inspected against defined flatness and micro-crack control standards before proceeding to sealing; edge chipping and crack-propagation risk are evaluated as part of the same review.

3.4 Sealing & Moisture Protection

  • Cut edges receive a secondary sealing process (UV-cure dispensing along the cut edge, with alternative sealants available depending on project environment) to protect against liquid crystal leakage and moisture ingress at the exposed edge.

3.5 Reliability Validation

  • Cut-and-sealed modules are put through standard reliability testing appropriate to the target grade (consumer or industrial), including double-85 (85°C/85%RH) high-temperature/humidity test, high/low temperature cycling (thermal shock), and structural drop testing. Benchmark data from comparable past cutting projects can be shared under NDA during technical review.

3.6 Optical Performance at the Cut Edge

  • Edge-zone optical behavior (light leakage and color-shift/Mura risk near the sealed boundary) is a known risk area for cut panels and is specifically inspected during qualification, with acceptance criteria confirmed per project.
