2. Engineering Process

  1. Spec intake — Share your mechanical drawing (or bezel cut-out), target interface, brightness/environmental requirements, and volume forecast.

  2. Feasibility review — Our engineering team confirms panel/array feasibility, interface compatibility, and mechanical fit; a DWG/STEP outline and technical fit report is returned.

  3. Quotation & NRE — Tooling, NRE (where new mechanical/optical tooling is required), and first-sample lead time are quoted based on the confirmed scope. Configuration-only ODM changes (interface, bezel, brightness) typically carry no NRE.

  4. First sample (EVT) — Prototype build for functional and mechanical verification, typically the fastest step on the ODM path, longer on a full custom OEM build.

  5. Reliability qualification (DVT) — Environmental and mechanical testing (temperature/humidity cycling, vibration, drop) run against your application profile, with test reports shared for review.

  6. Production ramp (PVT → MP) — Pilot run followed by mass production, with in-line inspection and QC records available for buyer audit.

Overview

The DV483FBM-N10 is a 48.3-inch ultra-wide bar-type TFT-LCD module purpose-built for transit passenger information systems, retail shelf-edge signage, and industrial bar-display integration. Unlike panels produced by cutting a standard rectangular TFT into a bar shape, the DV483FBM-N10 is manufactured as a native stretched-bar panel — the cell is built to its final 6:1 aspect ratio from the array/cell stage, with no secondary glass-cutting step.

This distinction matters to engineers evaluating long-term reliability: there is no cut edge, no re-sealing process, and no cut-induced Mura risk to qualify. What you are evaluating is a standard production LCM with an unusual — but factory-native — form factor.

1. Engineering Feasibility & Integration Support

Interface compatibility — This module runs on a V-by-One 8-lane interface, not LVDS. Confirm your driver/control board selection early in the design cycle; HITULCD provides the matched V-by-One controller board recommendation and pin-out documentation on request to avoid a signal-mismatch redesign.

Mechanical drawings for evaluation — To assess fit into your chassis, bezel, or housing, our engineering team requests: target cut-out/bezel drawing, mounting method (VESA, bracket, or frame-bonded), installation orientation, and any front-glass or optical-bonding requirements. We return a DWG/STEP outline drawing and mechanical fit confirmation before sampling.

Optical bonding & cover lens — If your application (e.g., outdoor bus stop signage, kiosk) requires a cover lens, we support open-cell supply for your own bonding process, or full optical bonding (OCA) done in-house — confirm which at RFQ stage, as it affects lead time and MOQ.

Custom bar sizes — For projects requiring a different bar length, aspect ratio, or resolution outside our standard range, our engineering team evaluates array-layout and gate/source driving constraints at the design stage and shares a feasibility report, including estimated NRE, before committing to tooling.


2. Reliability, Environmental Testing & Optical Quality

  • No cut-edge sealing required on the standard DV483FBM-N10 — the panel ships as a fully sealed, factory-native cell, eliminating the leakage and moisture-ingress risks associated with post-cut UV-glue sealing processes.

  • Environmental qualification: standard reliability testing includes high/low temperature storage and operation (per the -20°C~60°C / -30°C~80°C ratings above), damp heat (double-85) testing, thermal shock cycling, and vibration/drop testing appropriate to transit and industrial duty cycles. Full test reports are available for review under NDA.

  • Optical consistency: because there is no cut edge, there is no cut-induced light leakage or localized color shift at the panel boundary — brightness and color uniformity are qualified across the full active area under standard incoming-quality inspection.

  • For projects that do require custom-cut or reworked panels (e.g., modifying an existing standard-size panel), our team can separately quote a cut-panel engineering path — including cutting method (mechanical wheel-cut vs. laser-cut), edge tolerance, and re-sealing process — as a distinct SKU with its own reliability data set.
