OEM / ODM Services — 48.5" Custom Bar LCD Display
Full-Cycle Engineering Support for Overseas Brand Owners & System Integrators
Overview
Beyond supplying the 48.5" cut bar LCD as a standard module, we support customers as an OEM/ODM engineering partner — taking a project from concept drawing through to a branded, certified, production-ready display assembly. This service is built for overseas engineering teams, procurement managers, and project owners who need a supplier that can own the mechanical, electrical, and compliance work — not just ship glass.
Two engagement models are available:
| Model | What You Provide | What We Provide |
|---|---|---|
| OEM | Your own spec, drawing, and/or design files | Manufacturing to your exact spec, your branding, your packaging |
| ODM | Your application requirements and target use case | Full design — panel selection, board design, housing, firmware — delivered as a ready product under your brand |
1. Design & Engineering Support
DFM (Design for Manufacturability) review — we validate your target cut dimensions, resolution, and mechanical envelope against the mother-glass architecture before committing to tooling, flagging any circuit-clearance or structural risk early.
Custom cutting to your exact aspect ratio — not limited to catalog sizes; any bar/stretched dimension within the mother-glass envelope can be engineered.
Driver board / control board customization — interface selection (HDMI, DP, VGA, LVDS, eDP), A/D board configuration, and firmware adjustments (boot logo, OSD behavior, auto-brightness/light-sensor logic, image orientation).
Touch integration — PCAP, IR, or resistive touch added to the cut module per your application.
Optical bonding — for improved contrast, reduced glare, and structural rigidity where the display will be exposed to vibration or direct sunlight.
2. Brand & Industrial Design Customization
Housing/enclosure design — full custom mechanical design, or adaptation of your existing housing CAD, with material, color, and texture matched to your brand standard.
Custom boot logo, UI skin, and on-screen branding.
Private-label packaging — custom boxes, manuals, labels, and carton marking to your specification, so the product ships to your customers as your own.
Documentation — user manuals, compliance labeling, and datasheets produced under your brand name for direct resale.
3. Compliance & Certification Support
We support your product reaching Western markets without certification delays:
Design and component selection aligned to CE, RoHS, and FCC Part 15 requirements for EU/EEA and North American deployment.
UL support available on request for specific programs.
Components are lead-, mercury-, cadmium-, and hexavalent chromium–free by default.
We provide the technical documentation package (BOM, test reports, compliance declarations) your compliance team needs to finalize certification under your own brand.
4. Quality & Reliability Program
Every OEM/ODM build runs through the same qualification process as our standard product line, scaled to your target application grade (consumer vs. industrial):
100% pixel-perfect optical inspection
Full-spectrum burn-in (typically 48–72 hrs)
Double-85 (85°C/85%RH) high-temp/humidity testing
High/low temperature cycling and thermal shock
Structural vibration and drop testing (for housed assemblies)
Test reports from comparable prior programs can be shared under NDA during your supplier qualification process.
5. Program Workflow
| Stage | What Happens | Typical Duration |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Feasibility & DFM | We review your drawing/spec, confirm cut feasibility, flag design risks | 2–3 business days |
| 2. Quotation | NRE, unit cost at target volume, and sample lead time provided | Included with feasibility response |
| 3. Sample Build | First samples (e.g. 20 pcs) produced to confirm fit, function, and optical quality | 2–4 weeks from spec lock |
| 4. Validation | Customer testing + our reliability qualification run in parallel | Per your test plan |
| 5. Pilot / Mass Production | Tooling locked, production ramps to your MOQ and forecast | Per project scale |
6. Why Work With Us as Your OEM/ODM Partner
Engineering-first, not just a display trader — cutting, sealing, and reliability work is done in-house, so design risk is caught before tooling, not after.
Direct experience with European and North American OEM reliability expectations, from thermal derating avoidance to long-lifecycle LED backlight selection (50,000+ hrs).
Transparent terms upfront — shipping terms, order minimums, and payment protection confirmed before you commit, so there are no surprises after the sample stage.
Scales with your program — from a single custom-cut sample run to multi-year, multi-site production supply.
Getting Started
To scope your OEM/ODM program, please share:
Target application and deployment environment (indoor / semi-outdoor / outdoor)
Drawing or dimensional requirement for the display (or your general size/aspect-ratio target if not finalized)
Branding requirements (housing, packaging, boot logo/UI)
Target certification markets (EU / North America / other)
Expected annual volume and program timeline
We'll return a feasibility assessment, indicative NRE and unit pricing, and a proposed sample timeline within 2–3 business days.
48.5" Custom Bar LCD for Commercial Display Systems
Ultra-Wide Cut-to-Size TFT Display | Engineered for OEM Integration
Overview
The 48.5" Custom Bar LCD is a precision-cut, stretched-format TFT panel designed for applications where a standard 16:9 display cannot fit — transportation information boards, retail shelf-edge signage, elevator displays, drive-thru menu boards, and industrial control panels. It is manufactured by re-cutting a large-format mother glass panel (typically 55") to the required ultra-wide aspect ratio, then re-sealing and re-testing the module to full commercial-grade reliability standards.
This datasheet is written for engineers, sourcing/procurement managers, and project owners evaluating a custom-cut bar display for a new program — covering not just specifications, but the engineering process, reliability data, and commercial terms typically required to move from RFQ to production.
Key Specifications
| Parameter | Typical Value | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Panel Size | 48.5" (cut from 55" mother glass) | Custom cut dimensions available on request |
| Aspect Ratio | Ultra-wide (application-specific) | Defined per customer drawing |
| Resolution | Up to 1920 × 233 (or per custom cut ratio) | Confirmed after DFM review of target dimensions |
| Brightness | 500–3000 nits | Indoor / semi-outdoor / sunlight-readable tiers |
| Interface | HDMI, DP, VGA, LVDS, eDP | A/D board options available |
| Touch Option | PCAP / IR / Resistive | Optional |
| Operating Temp. | -20°C to +70°C (wide-temp option) | Standard and industrial grades available |

| Certification | CE, FCC, RoHS | UL available on request |
Exact resolution, active area, and mechanical drawing are confirmed jointly during the DFM (Design for Manufacturability) stage based on your target cut dimensions.
1. Cutting Process & Engineering Feasibility
Q: What cutting method do you recommend, and how are dimensional tolerances controlled? Two cutting methods are available depending on volume and precision requirements:
Mechanical wheel scribing — cost-effective for standard rectangular cuts, suitable for most signage applications.
Ultrafast laser cutting — recommended for tighter tolerances, irregular cut lines, or when the cut line falls close to active circuitry, as it minimizes micro-cracking and edge stress.
Our engineering team recommends the cutting method after reviewing your target dimensions and tolerance requirements during the feasibility review.
Q: Will the cut line interfere with the Gate/Source traces or the TFT array? This is the first item checked in feasibility review. Before confirming a cut plan, we require:
The exact target cut dimensions (width × height) and cut-line position relative to the panel's active area
The base panel's Gate/Source driving direction and IC/COF bonding location (from the mother panel's datasheet, or we can supply this if we source the mother glass)
Any required keep-out zones for your housing/bezel design
This allows us to confirm whether the cut line clears the circuit region, or whether re-routing/COF relocation is needed — before any glass is cut.
Q: What is your standard for edge flatness and micro-crack control after cutting?Cut edges are inspected under microscope for edge chipping and micro-crack propagation against an internal AQL standard, with edge grinding/polishing applied where required by the application (e.g., touch-enabled or exposed-edge designs).
2. Reliability & Edge Sealing
Q: How do you seal the cut edge against moisture and liquid crystal leakage?Cut edges are re-sealed using a secondary UV dispensing/curing process along the exposed glass edge, forming a moisture and LC-leakage barrier. Sealant type and dispensing pattern are adjusted based on panel structure (open-cell vs. with cover lens) and the target environment (indoor vs. semi-outdoor/washdown).
Q: Can the cut module pass standard reliability testing? What benchmark data can you share?Yes — cut/re-sealed modules go through the same qualification battery as standard modules, selected per application grade (consumer / industrial):
Double 85 (85°C / 85% RH) test — typically run 96–240 hrs depending on grade
High/low temperature cycling — per your operating temp. spec, multiple cycles
Thermal shock
Structural drop test — for housed/portable applications
We can share test reports/benchmark data from comparable prior cutting projects (similar size and sealing method) under NDA during the qualification stage.
Q: Does the sealed edge cause light leakage or color shift (Mura) near the border?Edge-adjacent Mura risk is managed through backlight design (LED placement relative to the new cut edge) and sealant thickness control. We perform 100% optical inspection on cut units for edge-region light leakage and color uniformity before shipment; any unit outside spec is rejected at this stage.
3. Cost, Yield & Lead Time
Q: What is the typical NRE cost, and how long does a first sample run (e.g. 20 pcs) take?NRE for a new custom cut (tooling/fixture, cutting program setup, DFM validation) is quoted per project based on cut complexity and required tolerance — please share your target drawing for a firm quote. First-sample lead time is typically 2–4 weeks from drawing confirmation, depending on cutting method and mother-glass availability.
Q: What yield should we expect at mass production, and what is your MOQ?Mass-production yield for a validated cut design (post-DFM, tooling locked) typically stabilizes in a healthy commercial range once the process is qualified; exact figures depend on cut complexity and are shared transparently after the pilot run. MOQ for production orders is set per project scale — smaller MOQs are achievable when the cut dimension matches an already-qualified process.
Applications
Public transportation displays (bus, rail, airport signage)
Retail shelf-edge and digital signage
Elevator and lobby information displays
Drive-thru and QSR menu boards
Industrial control panels and HMI
Compliance & Quality
All panels are engineered to meet CE, FCC, and RoHS requirements for EU and North American deployment, and are free of restricted hazardous substances (lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium). Full-spectrum burn-in and 100% pixel/optical inspection are standard prior to shipment.
