OEM / ODM Services — Custom Stretched Bar LCD Display Solutions
Built for Overseas Brands, System Integrators & Digital Signage Companies
Target audience: Overseas brand owners, system integrators, digital signage companies, procurement & project managersScope: Stretched bar LCD modules (18.5"–88") including custom-cut sizes such as the 49.5" ultra-wide module
1. Why Overseas Clients Choose Us for OEM/ODM
Most international buyers approach a custom LCD project already knowing what they don't want: long back-and-forth over specs, unclear tooling costs, and a factory that can't support their brand or compliance requirements. Our OEM/ODM process is built around three things overseas clients consistently ask for:
Engineering ownership — one team from feasibility review to mass production, not a trading company relaying messages
Compliance readiness — CE / FCC / RoHS documentation prepared for EU and North American market entry
Brand & IP protection — NDA-first engagement, private labeling, and no reuse of your design for other clients
2. OEM vs. ODM — Which Fits Your Project
| OEM (You Design, We Build) | ODM (We Co-Design With You) | |
|---|---|---|
| You provide | Full spec, mechanical drawing, PCBA/firmware requirements | Application requirements, target use case, budget/timeline |
| We provide | Manufacturing, cutting, assembly, QC to your spec | Design proposal, panel/driver selection, mechanical co-design, prototyping |
| Best for | Clients with in-house hardware engineering | Clients who need display expertise but not a full internal team |
| Branding | Your logo, packaging, labeling, user manual | Your logo, packaging, labeling, user manual |
| IP ownership | Yours | Negotiated per project (typically yours for exclusive designs) |
3. What We Customize
Panel size & cut dimensions — including non-standard cuts like the 49.5" ultra-wide bar format, tailored to your housing/gondola/kiosk drawing
Brightness & optical treatment — 350–3000 nits, AG/AR coating, optical bonding, anti-glare glass
Touch integration — capacitive touch (10-point), optical bonding to reduce parallax and glare
Driver board & interface — HDMI / VGA / Android (media player + CMS) / industrial control board
Mechanical/housing co-design — bezel, mounting bracket, waterproof (IP65) housing for outdoor/semi-outdoor use
Firmware & software — custom boot logo, Android CMS branding, remote content management white-labeled to your platform
Packaging & labeling — private-label carton, user manual, and barcode/label per your regional requirements (EU/US)
4. Compliance & Certification Support
Overseas market entry is usually where projects stall without the right documentation ready in advance. We support:
CE (EN 60065 / EN 55032 / EN 61000 series) for EU market
FCC for North American market
RoHS / REACH compliance documentation
Test reports for environmental reliability (85°C/85%RH, thermal shock, drop test) to support your own regulatory or retail-chain vendor qualification
If your target market or retail partner has a specific certification requirement not listed here, let us know early — some certifications need to be planned into the design stage, not added after tooling.
5. OEM/ODM Project Workflow
NDA & Requirement Intake — mutual NDA signed; you share application, target spec, volume, and timeline
Feasibility & DFM Review — our engineering team reviews drawings, confirms cutting method/tolerance, flags any design-for-manufacturing risks
Proposal & Quotation — BOM options, NRE cost, sample lead time, and budgetary unit pricing at target volume
Prototyping / First Sample — typically 10–15 business days after spec freeze (complex tooling may extend)
Sample Validation — you test optical, mechanical, and reliability performance; we support with test data and on-site/video engineering support
Pilot Run & Yield Confirmation — small batch to confirm process yield before full MOQ commitment
Mass Production — with agreed QC/AQL standard, packaging, and labeling
After-Sales Support — spare parts (backlight, cable, driver board), warranty terms, and remote engineering support for installation/maintenance
6. Commercial Terms (Typical — Confirm Per Project)
| Item | Typical Range |
|---|---|
| MOQ (standard cut sizes) | Lower MOQ for previously-qualified cut dimensions |
| MOQ (new/custom cut sizes) | Higher MOQ to justify tooling/process setup |
| Payment terms | 30–50% deposit (T/T), balance before shipment |
| Warranty | 1 year standard; 2–3 years available on request |
| Sample cost | NRE + sample unit cost, often creditable against first mass-production order |
| Lead time (mass production) | Confirmed after pilot run yield validation |
These are representative terms for planning purposes — final terms are confirmed in your project quotation.
7. IP Protection & Exclusivity
NDA signed before any drawing or spec is shared
Tooling and cut parameters developed for your project are not reused for other clients without your consent
Option to discuss design exclusivity or category exclusivity (e.g., no resale of your exact cut dimension/housing combination to competitors in your region) for qualifying volumes
8. Get Started
To move to a formal OEM/ODM proposal, please share:
Target application & market (region, indoor/outdoor, retail/transportation/gaming, etc.)
Preferred engagement type — OEM (your full spec) or ODM (co-design)
Target panel size/cut dimension or housing drawing (if available)
Target volume — sample quantity + annual forecast
Any required certifications (CE/FCC/RoHS) and target ship-to region
Our engineering and sales team will respond with an NDA, feasibility timeline, and initial proposal within [X] business days.
49.5" Ultra-Wide Stretched LCD Module for Digital Signage
Custom-Cut Bar Display Solution for OEM/ODM Projects
Target audience: Overseas procurement managers, project owners, hardware/display engineersUse case: Digital signage, shelf-edge displays, transportation information screens, gaming/vending equipment, kiosks
1. Product Overview
The 49.5" ultra-wide stretched LCD module is a custom-cut bar-type display derived from a standard large-size TFT-LCD panel, engineered to fit installation spaces that conventional 16:9 monitors cannot accommodate. It is widely deployed in retail shelf displays, transportation signage, elevator/lobby information bars, and gaming/vending terminal top strips.
| Item | Typical Spec (confirm per project) |
|---|---|
| Active Area | ~1210 × 340 mm (project-dependent, cut from parent panel) |
| Resolution | 3840 × 1080 / 1920 × 540 (configurable) |
| Aspect Ratio | Ultra-wide bar format (custom to housing) |
| Brightness | 350–3000 nits (indoor to sunlight-readable outdoor) |
| Viewing Angle | 178°(H) / 178°(V) |
| Interface | HDMI / VGA / Android board (RK3568 or equivalent) |
| Touch Option | Capacitive touch, optical bonding available |
We recommend sending your target housing/cut-out drawing (DXF/DWG) and required active area dimensions for a formal feasibility review before quoting.
2. Technical Process & Feasibility Assessment
We understand this is often the first question our overseas partners raise before committing to a custom-cut project — here is how we address it.
2.1 Cutting Method Recommendation
For standard tolerance requirements (±0.3–0.5 mm), mechanical wheel cutting (scribe-and-break) is typically sufficient and more cost-effective for volume production.
For tight tolerances, curved cut-outs, or cuts close to the active display area, we recommend ultra-fast laser cutting (UV/picosecond laser), which minimizes micro-cracking and thermal stress compared to mechanical cutting.
Final recommendation depends on the target dimension, cut-line proximity to the TFT array, and your tolerance/cosmetic requirements — please share your drawing so our engineering team can confirm the appropriate process.
2.2 Circuit & Trace Clearance
Before cutting, our engineering team maps the Gate/Source driver IC and trace routing of the parent panel against your requested dimensions to confirm the cut line does not intersect active TFT array or COF/driver bonding regions.
What we need from you at the feasibility stage:
Target cut-out dimensions (L × W) and installation tolerance
Reference housing/mechanical drawing (DXF/DWG or 2D drawing with datum)
Preferred panel orientation (landscape/portrait) and viewing side
Any keep-out zones (e.g., for touch controller, sensor cut-outs)
2.3 Edge Finishing
Cut edges are ground and polished to control edge chipping and micro-crack propagation, per our internal edge-quality standard (available on request).
Edge flatness and micro-crack acceptance criteria can be aligned to your incoming quality inspection (IQC) standard if you provide your AQL/inspection sheet.
3. Reliability & Edge-Sealing Assurance
3.1 Sealing Process
After cutting, exposed glass edges go through a secondary sealing process (UV-cure edge dispensing / edge coating) to prevent moisture ingress and liquid crystal leakage at the cut edge.
Sealing is applied along the full length of the cut edge, with dispensing width and cure profile controlled to avoid encroaching on the active display area.
3.2 Reliability Testing
Cut-and-sealed modules can be qualified to consumer-grade or industrial-grade reliability standards, depending on your application environment (please advise expected operating temperature/humidity range).
Typical qualification tests we can run and share data/reports for on similar cut-panel projects include:
High-temperature/high-humidity (85°C/85%RH) endurance test
Thermal shock / cold-hot cycling test
Structural drop test (per your target packaging/mounting configuration)
We are glad to share test reports from comparable stretched/cut-panel projects as reference data upon request — please let us know your target industry (retail, transportation, gaming, etc.) so we can send the most relevant case data.
3.3 Optical Performance at the Cut Edge
Our sealing and cutting process is controlled to minimize light leakage and color shift/Mura near the cut edge.
Edge-region optical performance (brightness uniformity, leakage) can be measured and reported per your acceptance criteria — sample units are recommended for your own optical verification before mass production sign-off.
4. Cost, Yield & Lead Time
4.1 NRE & Sampling
NRE (engineering/tooling cost) for a new custom-cut project varies by panel size, cut complexity, and tolerance requirements — please share your target volume and drawing for an accurate quote.
First sample lead time: typically 10–15 business days for an initial batch (e.g., 20 pcs) once the cutting parameters and drawing are confirmed. Complex or first-time tooling may extend this window — we will provide a firm date after DFM review.
4.2 Mass Production Expectations
Based on comparable cut-panel projects, expected mass-production yield is process- and size-dependent; we will share a realistic yield range specific to your dimensions and tolerance after sample validation, rather than a generic figure.
MOQ for custom-cut mass production is project-specific — smaller MOQs are achievable for standard cut sizes we've previously qualified; new/complex cuts may require a higher MOQ to justify tooling setup. We're happy to discuss flexible MOQ options based on your rollout volume.
