1. Cutting Process & Design Feasibility

Cutting method is selected based on your target dimensions and tolerance requirements — not applied as a one-size-fits-all process. For most industrial customization requests, we recommend ultra-fast laser cutting (UV/picosecond laser) over mechanical wheel scribing, as it produces cleaner edges with minimal micro-cracking and is better suited for tight tolerance windows (±0.1–0.3mm depending on cut location).
Before confirming feasibility, our engineering team checks whether your target cutline intersects the Gate/Source trace routing or active TFT array area of the original panel. This is the single most common reason a "simple resize" request turns out to be non-trivial — cutting through active circuitry isn't just a yield risk, it can render the panel non-functional.
