The HT070FHD-2000 is a 7-inch, 1920×1080 sunlight-readable LCD module engineered for OEM/ODM integration in vehicle, kiosk, and outdoor HMI applications where display failure isn't an option. At 2000 nits with a 178°/178° viewing angle and -20°C to +70°C operating range, it's built for the same harsh-environment category as our 5.5" module — but sized, powered, and rated differently for the mid-size HMI and dashboard use cases this form factor actually serves.


Sized for Direct 12V Integration
Unlike our 5.5" variant (AC 100–240V input), the HT070FHD-2000 runs on a DC 12V2A supply — the standard rail already present in most vehicle, EV charging, and industrial control cabinets at this size. If your enclosure already carries a 12V bus, this panel drops in without an added AC-DC conversion stage. Power draw is 7W, and the WLED backlight is rated at 30,000 hours — a figure we quote honestly rather than rounding up to match our other SKUs; ask us about the direct-lit 50K-hour variant if your application runs 24/7.

Engineering Notes: HT070FHD-2000

The 7W power draw and DC 12V2A input are the two numbers your electrical engineer needs before the nits figure

This module runs on DC 12V2A rather than the AC 100–240V input used on our 7" variant — a deliberate choice for this size class, since 7" panels in vehicle, kiosk, and embedded HMI installs are more often wired directly into a 12V rail than an AC mains line. If your enclosure already has a 12V bus, this saves you a power conversion stage; if you're retrofitting into an AC-powered chassis, flag it to us early so we can quote the DC-DC conversion board alongside the panel.

The 7W consumption is roughly double our 7" module's 3W — expected at this display area, but worth budgeting for if you're running multiple units off a shared power supply in a fleet deployment (bus displays, EV charging banks).


30,000-hour backlight rating, not 50,000 — here's why, and when it matters

Larger panels dissipate heat differently than smaller ones, and at this size/brightness combination the WLED backlight is rated at 30,000 hours rather than the 50,000 hours we quote on the 7" module. In practical terms: at 24/7 continuous operation, that's roughly 3.4 years before you're planning a backlight refresh cycle versus 5.7 years on the smaller panel. For outdoor advertising or transit displays running daylight hours only, this stretches well past typical hardware refresh cycles anyway — it matters more for always-on industrial monitoring applications. If your project needs the longer figure, ask us about the direct-lit backlight variant.


316 PPI, not 400 — a legibility tradeoff, not a downgrade

At 1920×1080 across a larger 154.368 × 86.832mm active area, pixel density comes down to 316 PPI compared to 400 PPI on the 7" panel. For text-heavy HMI or fine iconography viewed at close range (handheld terminals), the 7" panel reads sharper. For 7" applications — which are typically viewed from 40cm+ in vehicle dashboards, kiosk panels, or wall-mounted control interfaces — 316 PPI is comfortably above the resolution the eye can distinguish at that distance, so this isn't a meaningful tradeoff for most 7" use cases. It only becomes relevant if you're designing a handheld device at 7" viewed at arm's length.


MIPI 40-pin signal — same interface family as our 7", different board design

Like the 7" module, this panel uses MIPI (40-pin) rather than a direct HDMI interface. If you're standardizing a product line across both sizes, your control board design can share the same MIPI driver IC — worth flagging to your hardware team if you're planning a multi-size product family rather than a single SKU.


What we can't tell you without your project specifics

The 178°/178° viewing angle and 8ms response time are panel-level constants at this size and won't change with customization. What we can adjust based on your application: brightness tuning below 2000 nits for indoor/semi-shaded deployments, backlight upgrade to the 50K-hour direct-lit variant for always-on installations, interface conversion off MIPI onto HDMI/RS232 control boards, and touch integration.
