OEM/ODM Custom-Cut Bar & Stretched LCD Solutions
Any Size. Any Aspect Ratio. One Cutting Partner.
We Cut Any Bar-Type / Stretched LCD Size You Need
Most stretched-bar LCD suppliers sell you a fixed catalog of sizes — 19", 21.5", 28", 37", 49.5" — and you redesign your enclosure around their dimensions.
We work the other way around: you send us your enclosure cut-out, we engineer the panel to fit it.
As an OEM/ODM cutting partner, we convert standard mother-glass TFT panels — from small-format 7" panels up through large-format 98" panels — into any non-standard bar, strip, or stretched aspect ratio your project requires. If a standard mother-glass panel exists in the size range you need, we can very likely cut it to your exact outline.
This makes us the go-to partner for procurement teams and project engineers who have already finalized their mechanical design and need a display vendor who fits their drawing — not the other way around.
What "Any Size" Means in Practice
| Your Requirement | Our Capability |
|---|---|
| Ultra-narrow bar displays (shelf-edge, signage headers) | Cut from 10.1"–23.8" mother glass, height as low as ~1" |
| Mid-size stretched monitors (kiosks, elevators, vending) | Cut from 21.5"–43" mother glass |
| Large-format bar/strip signage (retail, transit, architectural) | Cut from 49"–98" mother glass |
| Non-9:16 / non-16:9 unusual ratios | Any aspect ratio achievable from available mother-glass sizes |
| Round-corner or notched outlines | Combined straight-cut + corner-milling process available |
| Small trial batch to full mass production | 20-pc engineering samples through multi-thousand unit programs |
If you're unsure whether your exact dimension is achievable, send us your drawing — feasibility review is free and typically returned within 2 business days.
How the OEM/ODM Cutting Process Works
Drawing submission — Send your outline/cut-line drawing (DXF/DWG/STEP) and required tolerance, or simply your target width × height and aspect ratio.
Feasibility & DFM review — Our engineering team checks your cut line against candidate mother-glass panels' active area, driver IC placement, and Gate/Source trace layout, and confirms which panel source and cutting method (mechanical wheel or ultrafast laser) fit your project.
Quotation — NRE (fixture/tooling), sample lead time, and unit pricing at your target volume.
Sampling — First-article cut, edge-sealed, and reliability-tested units (typically 15–20 working days).
Validation — You test samples in your enclosure/system; we support any iteration on cut line, brightness, interface, or touch requirements.
Mass production — Once samples are approved, we move to volume production with 100% post-cut optical inspection and full traceability.
Full OEM/ODM Service Scope — Beyond the Cut
Cutting the glass is only the starting point. As an OEM/ODM partner we also customize:
Optical performance — brightness (standard or high-bright 700–1000 cd/m² for outdoor/high-ambient-light use), viewing angle (IPS or TN), color temperature
Interface & driving electronics — LVDS/eDP panel with your choice of control board (bare panel, embedded Android board, or custom driver board), connector and cable-harness layout to match your assembly line
Touch integration — PCAP or resistive touch overlay bonded to the cut panel
Cover lens — thickness, shape, AG/AR/AF coating, and logo printing/silkscreen
Branding & packaging — private-label packaging, custom labeling, and documentation (datasheet, COA, RoHS/REACH declaration) issued under your brand for direct resale
Why Project Teams Choose Us as Their Cutting Partner
Dimension-first engineering — we design around your mechanical drawing instead of asking you to redesign around a catalog size
Two cutting technologies in-house — mechanical wheel-cutting for cost-driven programs, ultrafast laser cutting for tight tolerance or cuts near active circuitry, selected per project rather than one-size-fits-all
Reliability re-validation on every cut design — temperature/humidity, thermal shock, and drop testing before PPAP sign-off, not just on the original mother-glass panel
Transparent DFM feedback — if a dimension isn't feasible from any available mother glass, or requires a compromise (e.g., slightly adjusted active area, different panel source), we tell you upfront during the free feasibility review, before you commit to tooling
Scales with you — same engineering team supports a 20-pc prototype run and a multi-thousand-unit production program
Typical Industries & Use Cases

OEM/ODM FAQ
Q: We have a completely non-standard aspect ratio that doesn't match any catalog product — can you still help?Yes — that's the core of our OEM/ODM cutting service. Send your target dimensions or drawing and we'll identify which mother-glass panel(s) can be cut to your outline and confirm feasibility.
Q: Is there a minimum or maximum size you can cut?We work across the full range of commercially available mother-glass sizes, from small-format panels (~7") up to large-format panels (~98"). Extremely small bar heights or very tight tolerances may require laser cutting rather than mechanical wheel cutting — this is confirmed during feasibility review.
Q: Can you private-label the finished product under our brand?Yes — private-label packaging, custom documentation, and OEM branding are standard parts of our ODM service.
Q: What do you need from us to start a feasibility review?A drawing (DXF/DWG/STEP) or clear target dimensions (width × height, tolerance, and preferred aspect ratio), your target application/environment, and your expected annual volume. We'll respond with feasibility, recommended cutting method, and budgetary pricing within 2 business days.
Q: Can you support both a small prototype batch and full mass production?Yes — the same engineering and tooling used for your ~20-pc sample run carries forward into mass production, so there's no re-qualification gap between prototype and volume orders.
Have a size that isn't in anyone's catalog? Send us your drawing — if it can be cut from a standard mother-glass panel, we can build it.
23.7" Non-Standard Aspect Ratio LCD Panel (Custom-Cut Bar/Stretched Display)
Custom Glass-Cutting Service for Non-Standard TFT-LCD Panels | Mother-Glass-to-Bar Conversion | Engineering Sample to Mass Production
Overview
The 23.7" Non-Standard Aspect Ratio LCD Panel is a precision-cut TFT-LCD module produced from a standard 23.6"/23.8" FHD mother-glass panel and re-engineered into a custom bar/stretched format to fit non-standard mechanical openings — shelf-edge signage, elevator/lift displays, kiosk bezels, control-panel cut-outs, vehicle dashboards, and architectural embedded screens.
Unlike off-the-shelf stretched-bar panels with fixed aspect ratios, this is a cut-to-order engineering service: we take your mechanical drawing (DWG/DXF/STEP) or target cut-line dimensions and convert a proven, high-yield mother-glass panel into your exact non-standard size — while preserving electrical function, optical performance, and long-term reliability.
Note on specification values below: Where hitulcd's internal test data was not confirmed on this page, values shown follow common industry/international reference standards for 23.6"–23.8" FHD IPS/TN TFT panels (IEC 61966, RoHS 2.0/REACH compliant components). Please request the datasheet or COA for panel-specific measured values before finalizing your BOM.

Engineering & Reliability FAQ
For overseas engineers, procurement managers, and project owners evaluating a custom-cut LCD program
1. Process Technology & Feasibility
Q: For our target dimensions and tolerance, which cutting method do you recommend — mechanical wheel cutting or ultrafast laser cutting?
Both are available and the choice depends on where the cut line falls relative to the panel's active area (AA) and the tolerance your enclosure requires:
Mechanical wheel (scribe-and-break) cutting — lower cost, shorter lead time, suitable when the cut line is a comfortable distance from the AA/circuit region and tolerance requirements are ≥ ±0.3 mm.
Ultrafast laser cutting (femtosecond/picosecond) — higher precision (±0.1 mm typical), a cold-cutting process that minimizes heat-affected zone and microcracking, and is the recommended method when the cut line runs close to the Gate/Source driver area or the active TFT array, or when edge chipping risk must be minimized.
We confirm the recommended method after reviewing your drawing against the panel's internal layout.
Q: Will the cut line interfere with the original panel's Gate/Source traces or the TFT array region?
This is assessed case-by-case against the panel's internal circuit layout (COF/COG bonding area, gate driver IC placement, source PCB tab routing). A minimum keep-out margin from the AA edge is maintained to avoid cutting through active circuitry or signal traces — the exact margin depends on the source panel model.
Q: What drawings or parameters do you need from us to confirm cutting feasibility?
To run a feasibility assessment, please provide:
Target outline/cut-line drawing (DXF/DWG/STEP), with the active display area and mounting reference points clearly marked
Required tolerance (±mm) on the cut edges
Preferred viewing area orientation relative to the original panel's driver ICs (if known)
Target quantity for sampling and for mass production
Q: What is the edge flatness and microcrack control standard after cutting?
Cut edges are inspected against an internal edge-quality standard covering edge flatness (chip-free within a defined depth) and microcrack length limits, verified under magnification (typically 10–50x) as part of 100% post-cut inspection. Full inspection criteria and sample photos are available on request.
2. Reliability & Edge-Sealing Assurance
Q: What secondary sealing process do you use after cutting to prevent liquid-crystal leakage and moisture ingress?
A UV-curable resin is dispensed along the newly cut edge in a secondary sealing step, restoring the barrier that is broken when the original panel seal is cut through. This is combined with edge inspection to confirm full coverage with no voids before the panel proceeds to reliability testing.
Q: Can the cut TFT module pass standard consumer-grade / industrial-grade reliability testing? Can you share reference test data from similar cutting projects?
Yes — cut panels are re-qualified through a standard reliability test suite before PPAP sign-off, which typically includes:
High-temperature/high-humidity storage ("double-85"): 85°C / 85% RH, 240–500 hours
High-low temperature cycling: e.g. -20°C to 60°C, 96 hours, multiple cycles
Thermal shock testing
Structural drop testing (per applicable standard, e.g. ISTA or MIL-STD-810 methodology, selected per your product category)
Reference test reports from comparable prior cutting programs can be shared under NDA once your target dimensions and application are confirmed — please specify whether your requirement is consumer-grade or industrial-grade so we align the acceptance criteria.
Q: After edge-sealing, is the cut area prone to light leakage or color-shift (Mura) defects?
Edge light leakage and Mura risk are primarily controlled through backlight masking (black-tape/foam gasket rework at the cut edge) and consistent UV-resin dispensing thickness. Every cut unit undergoes 100% optical inspection for light leakage and Mura before shipment; any unit outside the visual acceptance criteria is scrapped and does not enter finished-goods stock.
3. Cost, Yield & Lead Time
Q: What is the NRE cost to start a custom cutting project, and how long does first-sample (e.g. 20 pcs) production take?
NRE covers cutting-fixture/jig development and first-article process validation; it is quoted per project once the drawing and cut-line geometry are reviewed, since fixture complexity varies with shape. Typical first-sample lead time for an initial run (e.g. 20 pcs) is 15–20 working days from drawing approval, covering fixture setup, cutting, edge-sealing, and reliability spot-checks.
Q: What yield can we expect at mass production, and what is your MOQ?
For an established, validated cut design, mass-production yield is typically in the 90–98% range once the process is qualified; a new cut geometry may start lower during initial ramp-up and improve as the fixture and process are fine-tuned. Mass-production MOQ is generally 500–1,000 pcs per cut design, though this can flex depending on source-panel availability and cutting-fixture amortization — let us know your target annual volume and we will propose a MOQ and pricing tier accordingly.
All values marked as standard/typical in this document are provided as international industry reference points for early-stage evaluation. Final specifications, tolerances, and test data will be confirmed in the formal quotation and datasheet issued after drawing review.
