Custom Stretched Bar LCD | OEM/ODM — Any Size, Any Aspect Ratio
From 8" to 88" — if your project needs a display that doesn't exist in a catalog, we build it.
Why the Market Needs Custom Bar LCDs
Standard 16:9 and 4:3 panels are built for TVs and monitors — not for the spaces most hardware and integration projects actually have to work with. As retail, transportation, and smart-building projects move toward digital signage embedded directly into fixtures, engineering teams increasingly hit the same wall: the enclosure is fixed, but no off-the-shelf panel fits it.
This gap is driving fast-growing demand across several sectors:
Retail & shelf-edge digital labeling — replacing paper tags with dynamic strips along shelf rails, where panel height is constrained to a few centimeters but length can run to a meter or more
Transportation — bus/rail interior information tickers, platform screen door strips, elevator cab and door-frame displays
EV charging & kiosk hardware — narrow vertical status displays integrated into fascia panels
Architectural & hospitality signage — displays recessed into pillars, reception counters, and narrow wall panels
Industrial control panels — status bars integrated alongside existing gauges and switches on fixed-size control faces
In every one of these cases, the display has to match the mechanical design — not the other way around. That's the problem our OEM/ODM stretched bar platform solves.
Our OEM/ODM Promise: Any Size, Built to Your Drawing
We don't sell a fixed size list. We manufacture stretched bar TFT LCD modules to your exact outline dimension, from 8" to 88" diagonal, at any aspect ratio from roughly 5:1 up to 32:1 — matched to your enclosure, not the other way around.
We support two engineering paths, and help you choose the right one based on your volume and tolerance requirements:
| Path | How it works | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Cuttable Panel Platform | We trim a base panel's glass and re-engineer the backlight for your target dimension, with edge re-sealing and reliability re-qualification | Low-to-mid volume, faster lead time, lower NRE — MOQ from 50 units |
| Full Custom Tooling | New glass mask and backlight tooling built to your exact specification | High volume, tightest tolerance control, full design freedom on resolution and pixel pitch |
Either way, the panel is engineered for the elongated shape from the ground up — not a cropped standard monitor. That means:
Uniform brightness edge-to-edge, with no falloff at the trimmed or tooled edge
Resolution and pixel pitch matched to your content and viewing distance — not locked to a stock panel's native grid
Portrait or landscape, same platform
Brightness tier matched to installation environment — indoor standard through high-brightness/sunlight-readable
Optional touch (PCAP), optical bonding, and IP-rated bezel built in from the start, not bolted on after
What "OEM/ODM" Means With Us
OEM (you design, we build): Send us your panel outline, resolution, interface, and mechanical drawing — we manufacture to your spec, including custom driver board, connector position, cable length, and bracket.
ODM (we design, you brief us): Give us your enclosure cavity, viewing distance, ambient brightness, and use case — our engineering team proposes the panel spec (size, resolution, brightness, interface) and mechanical integration, then builds it.
Most projects land somewhere in between — we work directly with your hardware/mechanical engineers from the first drawing through DFM (design-for-manufacturing) review, sample validation, and production ramp.
How We Take a Project From Drawing to Production
Send your requirement — target outline dimension and tolerance, enclosure drawing (DXF/DWG preferred), interface, brightness, and touch needs
Feasibility review — our engineers confirm cuttable area vs. active array, trace clearance, and recommend cutting method (mechanical wheel or ultrafast laser) based on your tolerance
Quote & sample plan — budgetary NRE, first-sample lead time (typically 3–4 weeks for ~20 pcs), and expected mass-production yield
Sample validation — first-article samples plus reliability test data (temperature/humidity, thermal shock, drop test) for your sign-off
Production ramp — mass production from as low as 50 units per configuration, with ongoing QC per IPC-A-610 workmanship reference
Why Source Custom Bar LCDs From Us
True custom manufacturing, not repackaged standard panels — backlight and driver electronics are engineered specifically for the elongated form, so you don't inherit the brightness falloff or dead space of a cropped monitor
Engineering-led sales process — you talk to people who can read your mechanical drawing, not just a price list
Scales with your volume — cuttable platform for fast, low-MOQ sampling; full custom tooling when you're ready for high-volume production
Reliability data you can act on — test reports from comparable prior projects shared under NDA during evaluation
ISO 9001 certified, RoHS/REACH compliant manufacturing

25.5" Elongated Stretched Bar TFT LCD Module | Custom Cuttable Panel (OEM/ODM)
Ultra-wide format LCD module engineered for narrow, elongated mounting spaces — shelf-edge, transportation, elevator, kiosk, and architectural signage integration.
Overview
The 25.5" Elongated TFT LCD Module is part of our Stretched Bar Display series, purpose-built for applications where a standard 16:9 or 4:3 panel simply won't fit. Instead of cropping a conventional monitor into a narrow strip — which causes uneven backlight falloff and wasted bezel area — this module uses a cuttable panel architecture: one axis of a full TFT glass assembly is precision-trimmed to your target dimension during OEM integration, while the backlight and driver electronics are re-engineered for edge-to-edge brightness uniformity.
This makes it a practical alternative to sourcing a fully custom glass mask (which typically requires large MOQs and long NRE cycles) for engineering teams that need a non-standard aspect ratio in low-to-mid volume production.
Best suited for: hardware/mechanical engineers, project managers, and procurement teams sourcing a display for a fixed enclosure cavity where standard panel sizes leave unusable dead space.
Key Features
Elongated aspect ratio — trimmed to your specified ratio (typical range 5:1 to 32:1) from a 25.5" class base panel
Uniform edge-to-edge brightness — custom backlight design avoids the luminance falloff typical of a cut-down standard panel
Cuttable panel design — trim to custom dimensions with OEM runs starting at low unit counts, without tooling a new glass mask
Portrait or landscape orientation — same panel platform supports either mounting axis
High-brightness options — sunlight-readable variants available for semi-outdoor or high-ambient-light installations
Optical bonding available — reduces internal reflection and improves contrast when mounted behind cover glass/acrylic
Industrial-grade reliability — wide operating temperature range and long-life LED backlight
Touch options — PCAP capacitive touch overlay available for interactive kiosk/shelf-edge applications

Technical Process & Feasibility Assessment
1. Cutting Process & Design Feasibility
Cutting method: We select the cutting approach based on tolerance requirements and panel construction. For standard tolerances (±0.3–0.5 mm), mechanical wheel scribe-and-break cutting is used for cost efficiency. For tight tolerances, thin/fragile glass, or cut lines close to the active area, we switch to ultrafast laser cutting (picosecond/femtosecond), which produces a smoother edge with minimal micro-crack propagation and reduces the risk of edge chipping.
Trace and circuit clearance: Before confirming feasibility, we map your target cut line against the panel's Gate/Source driver traces and the TFT array active area to confirm the trim does not intersect circuit routing. To run this check, we typically request:
The target outline dimension and orientation (portrait/landscape) with tolerance
Your enclosure/mounting drawing (DXF/DWG or 2D drawing with datum references)
Preferred cut edge(s) — single-axis or multi-edge trim
Any keep-out zone or connector position requirement
Based on this, we return a cuttable-area feasibility map showing the safe trim margin relative to the array edge before committing to sample tooling.
Edge finish standard: Post-cut edges are ground and polished to remove sharp burrs; flatness and micro-crack control follow standard glass-processing tolerances for cut LCD glass (visual inspection under magnification for edge chipping >0.1 mm, no visible crack propagation into the active area under standard reliability testing).
2. Reliability & Edge Sealing
Sealing process: Cut edges are re-sealed with a secondary UV-cure dispensed sealant applied along the trimmed edge to restore moisture and liquid-crystal leakage protection lost when the original factory seal is cut through. Dispensing parameters (bead width, cure profile) are validated per project during the sample stage.
Reliability testing: Cut-and-sealed modules are qualified against standard consumer- or industrial-grade reliability benchmarks depending on the application, typically including:
High-temperature/high-humidity storage (typ. 60°C/90%RH, "double-85" style test available for industrial-grade projects)
High/low temperature storage and operation (per the module's rated range, e.g., -20°C to +70°C)
Thermal shock cycling (cold-hot transition cycling)
Mechanical drop/structural test (per packaging and mounting configuration)
Test reports and benchmark data from comparable prior cutting projects are available on request under NDA for evaluation purposes.
Optical performance at the cut edge: Properly sealed and re-bezeled edges are checked for light leakage and Mura (color shift/non-uniformity) near the trim line under standard dark-room visual inspection. Where the cut line is very close to the active display area, we may recommend a narrow active-area margin or light-shielding tape to fully eliminate edge leakage — this is confirmed during the feasibility stage above.
3. Cost, Yield & Lead Time
| Item | Typical Range |
|---|---|
| NRE (engineering/tooling setup) | Project-dependent — quoted after feasibility review; scoped to cutting fixture, sealing process validation, and test tooling |
| First sample lead time (≈20 pcs) | Typically 3–4 weeks from confirmed drawing and PO |
| Expected mass-production yield | Typ. 90–98%, depending on cut geometry, tolerance, and proximity to the active area (tighter cuts near the array trend lower) |
| Mass-production MOQ | From 50 units per cutting configuration (cuttable series) |
Exact NRE, yield, and MOQ figures are confirmed once we've reviewed your drawing and tolerance requirements — earlier-stage estimates above are provided as planning references.
