Meta title: OEM/ODM Custom Bar LCD Cutting Service – Stretched TFT Displays Cut to Any Size | HituLCDMeta description: Custom-cut stretched bar LCD modules from 18.5" to 55" base panels. Factory cutting, edge sealing, backlight and driver-board integration. 20-pcs samples, 50-pcs MOQ. Send your drawing for a feasibility review.

1. Why Custom-Cut Bar Displays?

Catalog display sizes are designed for monitors and TVs. Your product probably isn't. Shelf rails, vehicle ceilings, control-panel strips and slim signage frames all demand ultra-wide formats that standard panels don't offer.

Common pain points we solve:

Your challengeOur solution
No catalog panel fits the enclosureCut the height or width to your exact dimension
New glass size means expensive tooling and high MOQStart from a proven base panel; OEM runs from 50 pcs
Cut panels leak, fade or show edge muraControlled cut process, UV secondary sealing and edge light-shield design
Integration takes months across multiple suppliersPanel, backlight, driver board, cable and bezel from a single source
Long lead time for first samplesEngineering samples (20 pcs) in 3–4 weeks after drawing freeze

2. What We Can Cut

Our cuttable platform covers base panels from 18.5" to 55" (cuttable series includes 18.5", 21.5", 23.8", 27", 32" and 40"). Cutting is performed on one axis to reach your target dimension, so the result can be a landscape bar, a portrait strip or an ultra-wide stretched format.

Typical cut ratios (1920 × 1080 base panel)

29.8" Cuttable Stretched TFT LCD Module | 1920 × 810 | 500–1,000 nits | LVDS

Factory-cut ultra-wide bar display for OEM signage, transportation, retail-shelf and industrial HMI projects. Custom cut length, controlled edge quality, sealed for long-term reliability.

Meta title: 29.8" Cuttable Stretched TFT LCD 1920×810 – OEM Bar Display Module | HituLCDMeta description: 29.8" stretched TFT LCD module (1920×810, 500–1,000 nits, LVDS). 3/4-cut from a 1080p base panel with sealed edges, wide-temperature operation and OEM customization. Samples in 20 pcs, MOQ 50 pcs.

1. Overview

The 29.8" Cuttable Stretched TFT LCD Module is a 1920 × 810 ultra-wide (≈ 2.37:1) display produced by cutting a standard 16:9 1080p TFT panel to 3/4 of its original height (1080 → 810 lines). The result is a bar-format display that fits shelf rails, transit-vehicle ceilings, control-panel strips and narrow enclosures without tooling a new glass size.

Because the cut is performed and validated at the factory, your engineering team receives a finished, sealed, tested module, not a raw panel. Cut dimension, edge finish, sealing and backlight are reviewed against your drawing before samples are released.

Why engineers and sourcing teams choose it

  • Fits non-standard spaces: 1920 × 810 bar format with a shorter Y-dimension than any catalog 16:9 panel of the same width.

  • Full-HD horizontal detail: 1,920 pixels across the long axis for crisp text, ticker bars and multi-zone layouts.

  • High-brightness ready: 500–1,000 cd/m² configurable for indoor, window-facing and semi-outdoor use.

  • Standard interface: LVDS timing, with HDMI / VGA driver boards available for fast integration.

  • Controlled cut process: documented cut-line planning, edge inspection, secondary sealing and reliability validation.

  • OEM-friendly commercial terms: 20-pcs engineering samples, 50-pcs MOQ, custom cut lengths on request.

3. Cutting Process & Technical Feasibility

Cutting a TFT panel is a precision manufacturing step, not a simple trim. The points below summarize how we approach feasibility, so your engineering team can evaluate risk early.

3.1 Cutting method

MethodBest forNotes
Mechanical wheel scribe-and-breakStandard cut lines, volume productionProven, cost-efficient; typical cut tolerance ±0.2 mm
Ultra-fast (picosecond) laser cuttingTight tolerance, narrow bezel, thinner glassLower edge stress, cleaner edge; typical tolerance ±0.1 mm; project-based

The recommended method is selected per project after reviewing your dimensions, tolerance and bezel requirements.

3.2 Circuit routing & array-area protection

Before any cut is approved, the cut line is planned against the panel's Gate / Source routing and TFT array layout. The cut is placed in a non-active margin that does not interfere with the array, driver connections or seal line.

To complete a feasibility review, please provide:

  1. Mechanical drawing (DXF / DWG / STEP) including target outline and tolerance

  2. Target active-area position and viewable-area (VA) requirements

  3. Required bezel width and mounting method

  4. Interface, signal timing and power-supply constraints

  5. Brightness, operating-temperature and environmental targets

  6. Estimated annual volume and project schedule

We return a written feasibility report covering cut-line position, risk points, recommended method and estimated lead time.

3.3 Edge quality control

ItemTypical acceptance criterion
Edge chipping≤ 0.2 mm, must not reach the seal line or active area
MicrocracksNo cracks propagating toward seal or active area (magnified inspection)
Edge flatnessWithin drawing tolerance; edge chamfer / polishing available
Cut-edge inspection100% visual inspection under magnification; sampled dimensional checks

4. Sealing & Reliability

4.1 Secondary edge sealing

After cutting, exposed cell edges are protected against liquid-crystal leakage and moisture ingress:

  • UV-curable edge sealant dispensed along the cut edge with controlled volume and path

  • Full-cure verification (UV dose and post-cure check)

  • Moisture-barrier and light-shield edge tape / frame options for humid or outdoor-adjacent environments

  • 100% leak and appearance inspection before backlight assembly

4.2 Reference reliability test plan (industrial grade)

TestReference conditionStandard

Test reports on comparable cut projects (before/after comparison of brightness, uniformity, leakage and electrical performance) can be shared under NDA upon request. Customer-specific test conditions are supported.

4.3 Optical performance after cutting

Cut-edge zones are checked for light leakage, color shift and mura using standard methods:

  • Edge light-shield structure (black tape / bezel / mid-frame) designed per cut dimension

  • 9-point luminance uniformity typically ≥ 75%

  • Visual mura and edge-leak inspection under defined gray-level patterns (L0 / L32 / L127 / L255)
