OEM/ODM Manufacturing: One Factory, Built to Match Whatever You're Building

For engineers, procurement managers, and project owners sourcing a display that has to fit a spec no catalog part was designed for

Most display suppliers sell you what's already on the shelf and ask you to redesign around it. HITULCD works the other direction. Since 2014, we've built our production line around a single premise: tell us the environment, the mechanical envelope, the brightness, the interface, and the certification target — and we'll engineer a panel to match it, not the closest thing we happen to stock. Today that approach serves customers across 38+ export markets, backed by 120,000+ units of annual capacity.

Any Application, Not Just the Ones We List

Our product catalog — industrial HMI panels, stretched bar displays, open-frame monitors, window and outdoor signage, OLED and e-paper — reflects where our customers have taken us so far, not a limit on what we build. The same core capability (LCD bonding, touch integration, backlight and brightness engineering, housing assembly) has been reconfigured for:

  • Industrial automation & HMI — control panels and embedded terminals built for continuous factory-floor duty

  • Retail & smart shelving — ultra-wide stretched bar displays for shelf edges, elevators, and in-store signage

  • Transportation — passenger information systems engineered for vibration, EMI, and wide-temperature reliability

  • Outdoor advertising & digital windows — sunlight-readable, weatherproof displays rated for 24/7 exposure

  • Gas station & fuel dispenser terminals — ruggedized displays integrated into existing dispenser housings

  • Medical equipment — display modules built to the tighter tolerance and documentation standards clinical devices require

If your application isn't on this list, that's normal — it usually means we haven't built that exact configuration yet, not that we can't. Bring us the requirement and we'll tell you honestly whether it's a straightforward adaptation or a genuine new development program.

What "Custom" Actually Covers

Customization at HITULCD isn't limited to picking a size off a chart. Depending on your project, our engineering team works across:

  • Size & form factor — from 5.5" embedded modules up to 86"+ large-format panels, including non-standard cut sizes

  • Brightness — 350 to 3000+ nits, tuned to your ambient light conditions rather than sold as a fixed tier

  • Backlight architecture — edge-lit for slim, lightweight builds; direct-lit with local dimming for outdoor and high-contrast needs

  • Touch & interface — projected-capacitive touch (including glove-compatible tuning), optical bonding, and AD boards supporting HDMI/DP/VGA with custom signal requirements

  • Housing & mechanical integration — from bare modules to fully assembled open-frame or enclosed units built to your chassis, not the other way around

  • Environmental rating — wide-temperature operation, sunlight readability, and moisture/dust protection matched to your deployment environment

  • Branding — OEM re-branding and cosmetic modification of existing platforms when a full ODM build isn't necessary

Built on Equipment That Makes Custom Work Repeatable

Custom orders only make sense if quality holds at volume. Our line runs on automated COG/FOG bonding (JYD-I900E, JYD-F900E/F900A) with micron-level alignment control, fiber laser cutting (GH-1111, 7.5KW) for burr-free panel edges, precision OC glass cutting (OC-1200A), and ACF lamination (F6-AS120) for stable circuit connections — the same equipment across an 11-stage production flow from cell feeding through final visual inspection, so a 20-unit prototype run and a 5,000-unit production order come off the same qualified process.

Reliability isn't tested after the fact — every project goes through dimensional inspection, high/low temperature and humidity chamber testing, and aging tests under 2D measuring instruments and microscope visual inspection before it ships.

Certified for the Markets You're Shipping To

Every OEM/ODM project can be built to CE, FCC, RoHS, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, UL, REACH, and WEEE requirements — so the display you develop with us doesn't become the bottleneck in your own product's certification process. Manufactured in ISO 14644-1 certified cleanrooms, with certificates and factory audit documentation available on request for your own supplier qualification file.

How a Custom Project Starts

You don't need a finished drawing to start the conversation. Most projects begin with:

  1. A description of the application, environment, and mechanical constraints (a rough sketch or existing enclosure drawing helps, but isn't required)

  2. Target specs — size, brightness, interface, and any certification requirements

  3. Expected volume, so we can advise on the right development path — OEM modification of an existing platform, or a full ODM build from scratch

Our engineering team will tell you directly whether your requirement is a fast adaptation or a longer development program, with lead time and cost confirmed in writing before any deposit is requested.

Custom Panel Cutting for the 75" 1500nits Industrial LCD Panel (HT750FHD-D1500)

A technical guide for engineers, procurement managers, and project owners evaluating custom-size LCD integration

Many of our overseas partners come to us with a fixed enclosure, kiosk, or vehicle cutout and a standard panel that doesn't quite fit. Rather than redesigning your mechanical housing around off-the-shelf glass, HITULCD offers custom-size cutting on our 75" 1500nits direct-lit panel (model HT750FHD-D1500, 3840×2160, 1649.66×927.94mm active area) so the display fits your application, not the other way around. Below is what our engineering team walks every customer through before a cutting project is quoted.

1. Technical Process & Feasibility Assessment

Cutting method selection. Depending on your target dimensions and tolerance requirements, we recommend either mechanical wheel scribing (cost-effective, suitable for straight-edge cuts with standard tolerance) or ultra-fast laser cutting (tighter tolerances, cleaner edge finish, required for cuts near active circuitry or complex profiles). Our engineers will recommend the appropriate method once we see your target size and tolerance spec.

Circuit clearance review. Before any cut is approved, we map your requested dimensions against the panel's Gate/Source driver lines and TFT array boundary to confirm the cut path doesn't intersect active circuitry. To run this check, we typically need from you:

  • Target outer dimensions and cutout drawing (DXF/DWG preferred)

  • Required active display area and centering requirements

  • Mounting/bezel constraints, if any

We'll return a feasibility report showing the proposed cut line relative to the panel's internal layout before you commit to tooling.

Edge finish standard. Post-cut glass edges are ground and polished to a defined flatness and micro-crack control standard, verified under microscope inspection before sealing. Edge specifications are documented in your project's inspection report and can be shared as part of the DFM (Design for Manufacturability) sign-off.

2. Reliability & Edge-Sealing Assurance

Sealing process. After cutting, the exposed glass edge is treated with a secondary sealing process — typically UV-cure edge dispensing — to restore moisture and liquid-crystal leakage protection at the cut line. This step is standard on every custom-cut panel we ship, not an optional add-on.

Reliability testing. Cut panels go through the same reliability program as our standard product line, scaled to consumer-grade or industrial-grade requirements depending on your end application. This includes double-85 (85°C/85%RH) high-temperature/high-humidity soak testing, thermal shock cycling, and structural drop testing. We can share benchmark data from comparable prior cutting projects during the quotation stage so you can evaluate against your own qualification requirements.

Optical performance at the edge. A properly sealed and cut edge should not introduce light leakage or noticeable color shift (Mura) near the cut line. This is confirmed visually and photometrically during our final inspection, and any panel outside spec is rejected before shipment — not caught by your incoming inspection.

3. Cost, Yield & Lead Time

NRE and sampling. Custom cutting projects carry a one-time NRE (non-recurring engineering) cost that covers tooling setup, cut-path validation, and first-article inspection. Exact NRE and sample lead time depend on cut complexity and tolerance — we'll confirm both in writing at the quotation stage, before any deposit is requested. As a reference point, first-article samples (e.g., 20 pcs) typically take longer than our standard 2–3 week lead time for uncut panels; we'll give you a firm date once the cut drawing is reviewed.

Production yield & MOQ. Yield on cutting projects depends on cut geometry, tolerance, and proximity to active circuitry — tighter tolerances and cuts near the array edge generally run a lower yield than simple straight-line trims. We'll give you a realistic yield range based on your specific drawing rather than a generic industry number. MOQ for custom-cut panels is also confirmed at the quotation stage (standard MOQ for uncut panels is as low as 1 unit; cutting, custom brightness, or bezel changes may raise this) — never revised after your deposit is placed.
