How an OEM/ODM Project Works With Us

1. RFQ & Requirements Review — Share your target spec, environment, volume, and timeline. 🔧 Typical response time: within 24 hours.

2. NDA (on request) — We sign your NDA or ours before any design details are exchanged, protecting your IP and ours.

3. DFM (Design for Manufacturing) Review — Our engineering team reviews feasibility and flags cost/performance trade-offs before you commit.

4. Quotation — Itemized quote covering unit cost, 🔧 NRE/tooling fees (if custom mold or PCBA required), sample cost, and MOQ.

5. Sample Production — 🔧 Typical sample lead time: 2–4 weeks depending on customization level.

6. Sample Validation — You test the sample against your own qualification criteria; we support iteration before mass production sign-off.

7. Mass Production — 🔧 Standard spec: 2–3 weeks; custom configuration: 4–6 weeks; bulk orders ≥500 units: 6–8 weeks.

8. Quality Control — In-process inspection, environmental/aging testing, and pre-shipment AQL inspection (🔧 standard AQL 2.5 unless otherwise specified).

9. Shipping & Documentation — Export packaging, compliance documentation, and Incoterm of your choice (EXW/FOB/CIF).

10. After-Sales Support — 12-month warranty and ongoing engineering support for future revisions or reorders.

IP Protection & Confidentiality

We understand IP protection is often the top concern for Western brands sourcing from overseas. Our standard practice:

• NDA available before any design specifics are shared, on your template or ours

• 🔧 Custom molds and PCBA designs developed exclusively for your project are not resold or reused for other clients without written authorization

We disclose NRE/tooling costs upfront in the quotation — no surprise charges after design sign-off.

Do you require a minimum order to start discussing a custom project?No — RFQ and DFM review are free, with no commitment. MOQ only applies once you move to production.

Who owns the design if HITULCD's engineers help develop it?Ownership terms are defined per project in writing before design work begins. We're flexible on client-owned vs. factory-retained IP depending on your investment level in NRE/tooling.

Can you match an existing product we already source from another factory?Yes — share the spec sheet or a physical sample and our engineering team will assess feasibility and quote a match or improved alternative.

What happens if the first sample doesn't meet our spec?Sample iteration is included in the development process until you sign off — we don't move to mass production until you approve the sample.
