OEM / ODM Custom Bar LCD Display Solutions: Cut to Your Exact Size
Your product needs a stretched display. We cut, seal, assemble and validate it to your dimensions, from prototype to volume supply.
Standard LCD panels come in fixed sizes and ratios. Your product does not. Whether you are designing a shelf-edge label, a vehicle information bar, an elevator display or an industrial control panel, we turn mainstream large-format panels into bar-type LCD modules that fit your enclosure, not the other way around.

Why Custom Bar LCDs?
Wide-format bar displays are growing fast in signage, retail, transportation and industrial equipment. The reasons are practical:
| Your challenge | What a custom bar LCD solves |
|---|---|
| Enclosure or bezel has an unusual shape | Display matches your mechanical envelope, with no wasted space |
| Standard 16:9 panels are too tall | Ultra-wide ratios such as 8:3, 4:1, 6:1 and beyond |
| Off-the-shelf bar sizes are limited or out of stock | Choose your own length and height from available base panels |
| Long-term supply worries | Multiple base-panel sources and controlled BOM |
| Need consistent quality at volume | Repeatable process, documented inspection and test data |
What We Can Deliver
We work from a broad range of mainstream open-cell panels and cut them to your target size. Typical projects include:
Any bar-type aspect ratio, from moderate widescreen to extreme strip formats, limited only by panel structure and driver-IC layout
Sizes from compact strip displays to large-format bars of 1 m and longer
Resolutions matched to the base panel: FHD-class, 4K-class and custom pixel formats
Brightness options from standard indoor to high-brightness sunlight-readable backlights
Interfaces: LVDS, eDP, MIPI and driver-board kits with HDMI, DP or USB-C inputs
Touch and bonding: capacitive touch, cover glass, optical or air bonding
Environment: standard and extended temperature, with conformal coating options
Every project starts with a feasibility check, because the cut line must avoid the TFT array, Gate/Source routing and seal area. If it does not work, we tell you early and propose alternatives.

FAQ
Can you cut any size?We can cut to a wide range of sizes, but each design depends on the base panel's active area, driver-IC and routing layout. We confirm feasibility before quoting and suggest the best base panel.
What information do you need to start?Target outline drawing (DXF/DWG/PDF), interface, brightness, operating environment and estimated annual volume.
What are the NRE and MOQ?Both depend on complexity and volume. We quote them clearly per project, and NRE can often be credited against volume orders.
How long do samples take?Typically 3–4 weeks after drawing approval.
Is the cut display as reliable as a standard one? With proper sealing and validation, yes. We agree on test conditions with you and share results.
Do you sign NDAs?Yes. We are happy to sign an NDA before you share drawings.
Do you offer touch and bonding?Yes: capacitive touch, cover glass and optical bonding are available.

Overview
The HT370HDL-500 is a 37-inch stretched bar LCD module with a native 1920 × 720 resolution and an 8:3 aspect ratio. It is produced by precision-cutting a standard 40" 16:9 open-cell panel down to roughly two-thirds of its height, then re-sealing, re-assembling and re-validating it as a complete module with a WLED backlight.
The result is a standard-interface, ready-to-integrate bar display for products where a conventional 16:9 screen wastes space or does not fit: shelf-edge displays, elevator and vehicle info bars, control panels, kiosks, and wide-format industrial equipment.
A higher-resolution 3840 × 1440 variant is available for projects that need finer text and graphics.
Key Features
8:3 ultra-wide format for space-constrained enclosures and information-bar layouts
IPS technology, 89°/89°/89°/89° viewing angle for consistent colour and contrast from any position
500 cd/m² (Typ.) WLED backlight, suitable for bright indoor and window-adjacent installations
16.7M colours (8-bit) for accurate graphics and video
Standard LVDS, 51-pin interface for straightforward integration with common controller boards
Slim profile, max. 20 mm thickness

Engineering Support for Custom-Cut Projects
Stretched bar modules are only as good as the cutting and sealing process behind them. Below are the answers we give most often to engineers and project managers during technical evaluation.
1. Cutting Process and Feasibility
Cutting method. We select the method by panel structure and tolerance target:
| Method | Best for | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Mechanical scribe-and-break (diamond wheel) | Standard cuts, cost-sensitive volume projects | Proven, economical; typical tolerance ±0.2 mm |
| Ultra-fast (picosecond) laser | Tight tolerance, fine edge quality, complex outlines | Lower micro-crack risk, tolerance to ±0.1 mm |
Routing and TFT-array clearance. Before any cutting, our engineers review the open-cell drawing to confirm the cut line does not interfere with Gate/Source fan-out routing, the TFT active array, or the seal line. To confirm feasibility we normally ask for:
Target outline drawing (2D, DXF/DWG or PDF) with tolerances
Preferred interface and mounting requirements
Required brightness, operating temperature and environment
Estimated annual volume and project schedule
We reply with a feasibility report covering cut position, remaining margin to the seal line and driver-IC/FPC area, and any recommended adjustments.
Edge quality. Cut edges are inspected under magnification. Our internal criteria control chipping, edge straightness and micro-cracks, with acceptance limits agreed with the customer in the specification.
2. Sealing and Reliability
Edge sealing. After cutting, exposed cell edges are re-sealed with UV-curable adhesive dispensed by a controlled process, then cured and inspected to prevent liquid crystal leakage and moisture ingress.
Reliability testing. Custom-cut modules can be validated against common industrial test profiles. Typical test items include:
| Test | Typical condition |
|---|---|
| High temperature storage | 60 °C, 240 h |
| Low temperature storage | -20 °C, 240 h |
| High temperature / high humidity (85/85) | 85 °C / 85 % RH, up to 500 h (as agreed) |
| Thermal shock | -20 °C ↔ 60 °C, 100 cycles |
| Vibration and drop | Per IEC 60068-2 / ISTA methods |
Test reports from comparable projects are available on request under NDA. Final test conditions are defined per project.
Optical performance. Sealing tape, bezel design and light-guide alignment are tuned per project to prevent light leakage and edge Mura or colour shift. Every sample undergoes full-screen optical inspection.
3. Cost, Samples and Mass Production
| Item | Typical arrangement |
|---|---|
| NRE (tooling / process development) | Quoted per project; may be credited against volume orders |
| Engineering samples | Typically 20 pcs |
| Sample lead time | 3–4 weeks after drawing and specification approval |
| Mass-production lead time | 6–8 weeks after order confirmation |
| MOQ | Project-dependent; ask for current MOQ |
| Yield | Targets agreed in project specification; process data shared during evaluation |
